Deluxe Newport Hotel - Old City

El desayuno un poco escaso, pocas opciones para comer y con espacio reducido.

- Pulizia e Manutenzione: La gestione del cambio biancheria è confusionaria (spesso cambiato un solo letto su due nella doppia) e reattiva anziché proattiva. Molti elementi della camera sono danneggiati: maniglia del bagno che si stacca, sensore antincendio scardinato e telecomando del condizionatore rotto. Abbiamo avuto anche necessità di sollecitare anche i beni primari, tra cui fornire un numero consono di asciugamani (2) per persona, stimolare il cambio delle lenzuola (dicono ogni 48 ore ma dopo 4 giorni erano sempre le stesse) e fornire la carta igienica, una carenza inaccettabile che fortunatamente non è coincisa con problemi di salute gastrointestinale intercorrenti o, peggio, sincroni. Sia mai che pensiate di tornare per un pisolino pomeridiano, alle 15 stanno ancora finendo di pulire le camere.
- Dimensioni e Foto: La stanza è decisamente più piccola dei 18mq dichiarati; le foto su Booking sono fuorvianti sia per gli interni che per il contesto esterno (strada ripida e degradata). L'arredamento è poco funzionale: manca un appendiabiti, la maniglia del bagno era rotta e senza serratura, il frigo anche se collegato non funzionava bene.
- Disastro Colazione: Scarsa scelta, cibo prevalentemente confezionato e rifornimenti lentissimi. I posti a sedere sono insufficienti rispetto al numero di ospiti, creando code e disagi. Come bevande calde ci sono solo the e caffè credo americano.
- Servizi: Wi-Fi estremamente lento e instabile. Ascensore inaffidabile (si è bloccato più volte durante il soggiorno). Asciugamani da doccia decisamente troppo piccoli. Dopo aver usato una delle prese elettriche si è spanso un odore di bruciato preoccupante.
- Privacy: Camera al piano terra con affaccio diretto sulla strada (nemmeno una grata o un vetro oscurante); impossibile aprire le tende senza essere visti dai passanti. Eravamo chiuse con tende tirate tutto il tempo.

The room itself is nice, fairly quiet, and spacious enough for three people. However, there is almost no furniture to store clothes: only one wardrobe with a single shelf and three hangers. We had to use the bedside table drawers instead, and there were only two of them for three guests.
There were also several maintenance issues:
- the fridge turned on but did not cool;
only one of the two flush buttons on the toilet worked;
-?the shower head holder was broken;
the room door was misaligned, so it had to be slammed shut;
- the bathroom extractor fan could not be used because it brought unbearable smells into the room, ranging from fried food to sewage odors.

The hotel has an elevator, but it can only fit two people at a time, and during busy hours it was often occupied by the cleaning staff transporting towels. Calling them “cleaning staff” is actually generous because, during our one-week stay, the room was never cleaned and the beds were never made. The room was also not very clean upon arrival. The only thing they did regularly was change the towels and provide a single roll of toilet paper, which often ran out during the night, forcing us to ask for more the next morning.
Breakfast is served from 8:00 a.m. onward, but the breakfast room does not have enough tables for the number of guests, so waiting is common. The breakfast is mainly salt food, although there are a few sweet options such as cake and bread with butter and jam.

This is by far my worst hotel experience ever!

First, the room we booked on the second floor smelt so bad we had to request a whole new room.

Then, we were moved to the ground floor where we could hear every single person that walked in the lobby or used the elevator, as well as the hubbub from the streets.

The pictures on the website didn't accurately reflect the conditions of the rooms themselves, which were shabby. The air conditioning unit was old and ineffective. The beds were creaky and uncomfortable. This place is more akin to a 1 or 2 star hotel.

The walls were so thin that we could hear everything going on in the room next door - talking, TV, shower etc.

I got no sleep whatsoever so had to leave after just one night and booked a hotel elsewhere at the last minute for the remainder of my Istanbul trip.

I've never stayed in such a terrible hotel and would strongly recommend you book elsewhere, as I ended up doing.

Trpezarija nije dovoljno velika, nekad se čeka na doručak i Lift koji se svaki dan u vreme doručka pokvari usled preopterećenosti, pa ako ste na četvrtom spratu kao ja može biti problem ako niste u kondiciji ili imate neki zdravstvenu problem
