Disappointing start to the stay

Cons:

I booked this as a surprise for my husband and grand kids. As you can clearly see from the above thread the booking was for 2 adults and 2 children. When they arrived at the hotel they were advised that the booking was only for 2 adults. Eventually they amended the booking to include the 2 children however the bedroom was only set up with 2 sets of towels. The hotel said the booking had been amended to remove the 2 children. Can you explain what happened with the booking as I was very annoyed to hear this considering the booking had been paid for in full in advance of the stay.

Short stay for wedding
Pros:

Lovely property and staff so friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast.

Cons:

Very warm- we did stay during hot weather but the rooms were very hot despite windows open.

Pros:

Absolutely stunning grounds and a very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walked in! We stayed 2 nights for a wedding we were attending. Our room was so spacious with a separate bath and shower and super comfortable beds! All staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had!

The size of the fridges in the rooms. Far too small
