Lovely Staff at The Montenotte
Pros:

The staff make this property worthwhile! The apartments (residences) are surprisingly outdated but we would stay again based solely on the fantastic staff! Everyone we encountered was so lovely and so helpful throughout our stay!

Cons:

Apartments are definitely outdated but kept clean. Limitations for children on certain facilities, just FYI. Overall, we enjoyed our stay

A real gem, beautiful and welcoming.
Pros:

Lovely friendly and helpful staff, thank you as you were all so hospitable.
The hotel has a fabulous hillside location and at night you can look out at the the sparkling lights of Cork.
The glasshouse, the restaurant and all the public areas are very stylish and relaxing. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant on the last evening of our stay.
We also enjoyed cocktails in the glasshouse and on the terrace.
Another favourite part was the beautiful Victorian garden where sculptures are displayed amongst the immaculate borders.

Both good and bad points
Pros:

Very easy to check in, very friendly receptionist and very informative. The view and comfort sitting out was fabulous. Room was clean and warm.

Cons:

Staff in the bar/dining area were poor, we received the wrong order twice and also left sitting for 15 minutes after being told to sit down and we would be served to end up going back in to order.
The shower could not regulate its temperature, it was roasting to start with then went to freezing cold which made having a shower near impossible.

Pros:

Hotel absolutely lovely. Luxurious and comfortable. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Spa was relaxing, pool was a bit busy but was a good size.

Cons:

Breakfast was disappointing for the price, and restaurant was a nice atmosphere but a bit pricey and there was confusion on placing the bill on the room.

Pros:

We stayed in one of the flats rather than inside the main hotel, and we absolutely loved the space. The furniture and kitchenware were of very good quality, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I also particularly appreciated the fitness center and sauna, which I used dail

Cons:

We experienced some difficulty with the dryer. After asking for assistance, the staff member who came to the apartment was unsure how to operate it. In the end, we realized we needed to run the dryer twice just to finish drying a half load. Additionally, the instructions posted inside the closet appear to be outdated—likely from a previous machine—which added to the confusion.

We also attempted to call the front desk, but our calls were not answered. The phone in the apartment is an old-style dial model, which made repeated attempts somewhat frustrating, as dialing “zero” multiple times can be uncomfortable.

Walking distance with complimentary parking made this an exceptional option to watch the St. Patrick’s parade while easi
Pros:

A comfortable hotel with complimentary parking and walking distance to the city center (if you are up for an uphill climb back).
The reception desk was lovely and helpful. We had a lost luggage that was delivered and they ensured it was delivered to our room.
The hotel also features an in house cinema, spa and health club. The room had bathrobes and slippers and a comfortable bed. And Netflix. 😁

Cons:

The shower-is this an Ireland thing? The glass enclosure is half an enclosure so lots of water gets onto the bathroom floor.
