Location was excellent. Cannot fault it. 3 min walk to MBK Centre and then a few more minutes to Siam Discovery / Centre / Paragon.
Very small gym but it was rarely in use so with a few cardio machines, some dumbbells and a bench, it’s fine for a quick holiday workout.
Big outdoor pool.
Nice cafe connected to the building. I didn’t eat there but had coffee most days and it was a quiet atmosphere.
An odd hotel in design. Too minimalist so at times the upper corridors feel more like a prison.
No iron is a first I’ve ever experienced. I imagine it’s to encourage you to use their laundry service - which is quite expensive (and I’m comparing to UK prices!)
Bad wifi. When it stays connected it’s fine (not superfast but okay) but I found on the 3rd floor it constantly disconnected. Made it impossible to get any work done so I just went to nearby coffee shops.
I kept finding little ants in the corner of my room when I sat at the desk. Not sure if this is a wider climate related thing or what, but it was frustrating if I sat down for a quick snack.

I liked the location for shopping, very convenient
The art shop downstairs is cool
The pool was nice
The staff were nice
They put a sign in the bathroom that gets held up by a tiny dish, well surprise surprise it knocked over the tiny soap dish and we had to pay for it. I just think they could've stuck the sign to the wall. Or literally put it anywhere else. It's pretty cringe. I think it was $5 but it just soured it all. Then we had to wear shoes in the bathroom just to make sure. Also this dish exists so they can give you the thinnest piece of soap sealed in plastic to save on stuff, but they give you a new one every day and it breaks as you open it, everyday and then we didn't have a soap dish to leave it in. It's more wasteful and kind of just annoying.
Also the bed was hard
I got an adapter from a store in Thailand and I plugged it into the wall and it started smoking. I immediately removed it, I'm so glad we weren't asleep. I let the staff know that either the adapter was faulty or their wires are faulty and they just took the adapter and stared at it.
I translated a message in Thai and they didn't even bother to read it. This was pretty disappointing. I hope no fires are caused because of this issue. Very scary.
