Layover hotel before flight
Pros:

It is central downtown.
Good air conditioning
Very basic, but it was just an overnight stay before our flight.

Cons:

Bathroom, shower has no walls, everything gets wet.
Wifi not strong for 2nd floor rooms. Luckily, I had a phone plan and I used it as a Hotspot for my husband.

Before you book // Honest review
Pros:

Location is 10/10 if you want to explore the ciry centre, and the facilities are generally good - as they should for the price. However.

Cons:

Our stay did not meet our expectations, at all. As we were staying at Rich hotel after a 5-day safari, we wanted to book a nice hotel to reset before departure to Nairobi, Kenya the following day.

The room had mosquito-nets for 1 bed (not all three)
The shower or sink did not have any warm water
The wifi connection was very poor, and never worked for more than a couple minutes before you hade to reconnect through login.
Worst of all, we never got our breakfast. As the receptionist informed us that the breakfast was at 06:30-10:00, we booked a bus that picked us up at 07:30 at the hotel. Sadly, the breakfast was not ready and they neither provided it or helped us when we contacted the reception. He said "don't worry" and "no problem, we'll fix" and nothing happened.

Trying to justify that we did not get any breakfast before our 6 hour bus trip, I kindly asked if we could get the additional brekfast refunded, which was later denied since we requested breakfast outside of provided times. Which we did not.

I want to share our experience to hopefully inform future guests about what you could expect from your stay. There are great options in Arusha, and I would not recommend Rich hotel to any of my friends. But maybe you'll love it. At least you know what to look out for.

Apart from some faults in my room, great stay, especially due to very helpful personnel and manager.
Pros:

Great value for money breakfasts

Cons:

I really hesitate to write this because my room was not in any way representative of the other rooms I saw which appeared to be in perfect condition with lots of space and perfectly functioning doors and windows. My room however was far too small for a double bed. The room was in need of immediate maintenance repair. Both the door and the bathroom door scraped the floor, and both bathroom windows were either jammed open or had a rusty lock, letting in both cold and noise. The blanket and bed cover were also in need of repair. Finally, there was no shower curtain to prevent the shower water all over the bathroom. But the rest was fine. The bed was very comfortable, the table and chair and cupboards were great, the electric sockets worked and the floor was beautiful clean white marble. The sheets were changed often and the room cleaned and the bathroom towel changed every day.

J'ai passé un bon séjour à Rich Hôtel
Pros:

La chambre et la salle de bain étaient propres. Le lit également trop confortable. Le service à la cuisine également était trop accueillante et serviable, de même que les réceptionnistes.

Cons:

Alors le seul inconvénient c'est le wifi qui se déconnecter à chaque fois ou il fallait quasiment tout le temps ressaisir les identifiants. À la fin j'ai plus utilisés mes données mobiles.

Disappointing and uncomfortable

Location was very central, but very noisy in bustling streets near mosque and market. The manager and staff was very friendly and helpful, including helping us to exchange money and buy phone sim.

Cons:

However, the room was very small, bathroom very outdated and run down. Wifi did not work for our phones. A lot of noise at night and in the morning with people banging doors and street noises, and a strange glass panel above the door which let in a lot of light. Mosquito net had holes and air con did not work but the manager said he will look into it.
