It's just the water service is very low if there is no electric supply but overall score,,,still 10/10
Ocean front breakfast, “above and beyond” customer service! Accommodating staff mindful of customer needs specially disabled elderly. Didn’t mind asking guest if it’s okay to transfer rooms.
My partner and I loved staying at La Playita, so much so that we extended our stay. The property is beachside, about 10 mins drive to town (you can catch a public tricycle to town). There is a lovely seating area outside by the little restaurant, where you can enjoy the view of the beach. The rooms were comfortable and good value for money. There was some leaking in the bathroom, but everything was clean. Best of all, the staff was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hope to return someday soon!

This place was absolutely terrible
Overpriced and being charged at premium prices
The room was falling apart , the outdoor facilities were simply non existent
The place needed a complete refurbishment 10 years ago!
The only reason we stayed there for our booking was that I had fully prepaid and I would have been charged the same amount to cancel
The fact that we were the only guests was testament to how terrible it really is
They advertise with photos that are not real
The food - well that was just a joke
A reasonable menu selection but nothing available!?!
We ended up eating in Borongan City because of it
The cook wasn’t there half the time
The staff were friendly enough but due to us being the only people staying there , they had nothing much to do and just hung about on their phones
Great place with views onto the ocean
Little bit far from town so sometimes difficult to get a taxi to go to the resort
There were several aspects we liked about La Playita: 1) they are pet-friendly so we give them extra points for this; 2) the staff provided great service - special mention to Ronnie for accommodating our dietary requirements and to Grace for her prompt service; 3) the beach view from our room was fantastic; 4) the breakfast is really good, including fresh fish and fresh fruits; and 5) the free wifi is very strong, allowing us to work without any issues. We will certainly be back here next time we visit Borongan!

Nothing really staff was good but toilet blocked
When we arrived we were instantly made to feel welcome. Absolutely every single member of the staff and owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and all went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent stay. This place was newly taken over and had been freshly painted and decorated. WiFi hadn’t stretched to our room yet as everything was new (which wasn’t an issue for us at all as we could access internet from the lobby) but the next day we woke up to our very own router for the room. They also very kindly offered to contact a van company for us for our journey to our next destination, and we were picked up right outside. Breakfast was different every day and the food was lovely - drinking water was also provided with every meal. Air conditioning was lovely and cold, very easy to get to on the main road with public transport and such good value for money - you will not regret staying here. You can visit Divinubo island for the day, and also explore the nearby Locso-on cave, take a tuk tuk 5km in to Borongan town or just relax on the beach with a fresh coconut!
