We stayed at an eco resort in Nilaveli during our two-week holiday from the Netherlands, and it was a wonderful experience. It is a beautiful and peaceful place in the Trincomalee area, surrounded by nature.
The environment was very clean and relaxing, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Our room and bathroom were spotless, and we really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and beautiful garden.
What made our stay especially memorable was the amazing lagoon breeze. It was so refreshing and peaceful. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and eco-friendly stay in Nilaveli.
No pool
The staff were very welcoming. They made us breakfast every morning at a time that was convenient for us. Our first room was a bit loud due to it being windy and the trees touching the roof. They moved us room straight away which was much quieter. The location, huts and greenery felt like traditional Sri Lanka. It is good value for money.
The location was ok for spending some days at the beach
The pricing of this establishment appears to be disproportionate to the fundamental amenities provided. While the breakfast service was acceptable, the presence of a metallic ceiling led to considerable noise disturbances throughout the night, particularly in conjunction with strong winds. Consequently, the overall value proposition of this accommodation is not favorable.
They refunded part of our money.
I had booked at cocolagoon eco resort for my honeymoon stay with my wife. Pictures on booking.com and Google make the place seem beautiful. In reality, it is not. It looks like a make-shift stay on farmland. The chalets/villas are tiny, much smaller than anywhere else we had stayed in Sri Lanka. This was also our most expensive stay out of our whole trip. The room is small, dingy, dusty and old. You can tell the staff only does a very light dusting. There were cobwebs that were untouched for years that sat between their cupboard and wall(picture attached).
Staff looked bored and uninterested in us. There was also a really aggressive dog in the property growling at us. For the price they charge, this is probably the worst stay you can choose in sri lanka. You would be better off with a homestay or guest house.
Booked for three nights, but did not even stay for one hour.
I will mention they did refund for two nights of my three night booking.

Tap water was brownish and gave stomach flu when used for tea. The staff asked us to use the bottle water to make tea but didn’t offer extra for drinking. 2 of 500 ml bottles for drinking and tea/ coffee for 1 day

El soroll de la carretera al costat i que hi havia paneroles a l'habitació. Preu elevat per la qualitat que donen. S'aprofiten d'estar ben situats en teoria perquè hi ha allotjaments al país que per 30€ nit amb esmorzar inclòs estaven infinitament millor.
Clean and tidy room and bathroom. Very kind and helpful staff. Wi-Fi worked well in the room, which was great for my office work. The lagoon breeze was amazing and made the stay very relaxing. Highly recommended!
A beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by a coconut garden with a refreshing lagoon breeze. Clean Room and wash Room. The resort is conveniently located close to Nilaveli Beach. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at this eco resort. The location is excellent, with easy access to transportation—just a few steps away from the bus stop.
The room was clean and spacious, and the bathroom was very large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and offered a great start to the day.
The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and hardworking, always ready to assist with a smile. The resort is surrounded by beautiful coconut groves, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere with refreshing lagoon breezes.
The only thing we missed was having a swimming pool, but the stunning Nilaveli Beach is just a short walk away, which more than makes up for it.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway!

We had a wonderful stay at , Nilaveli. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and Nilaveli Beach is just a short walk away. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and caring. They arranged affordable tuk-tuk transport and took care of everything we needed. The peaceful eco-friendly environment made our stay relaxing and enjoyable. Highly recommended for couples visiting Nilaveli and Pigeon Island. 🌴😊

Sehr schöne Bungalows auf dem Gelände. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Bungalows sind schön hergerichtet und scheinen recht neu. Großes Bad. Frühstück als Buffet, geschmacklich gut.
Das Frühstück war im Vergleich zu Hotels bisher nicht so gut. Es gab ein Buffet, jedoch kein Brot oder Kaffee, Butter etc. Wir mussten nach Brot und Kaffee fragen, bekamen es dann aber auch. Am Obst hingen weiße kleine Fetzen, was sehr unappetitlich war. Geschmacklich zwar gutes Frühstück, hatten aber den Eindruck das Essen "erfragen" oder einfordern zu müssen. Bei der Zahlung recht unorganisiert, musste dann erst Wechselgeld organisieren. Klimaanlage sehr kompliziert einzustellen.
De ligging is prima. Restaurants, bakkertje, strand etc. Op loop afstand. Bedden zijn prima.
Huisjes zijn wat gedateerd. Ontbijt valt wat tegen in vergelijking tot ontbijt wat we op andere plekken kregen. Airco in huisje is zo geplaatst dat deze vol op je bed blaast, maar met een tapeje opgelost. Verblijf was verder prima
