We had a good stay and would certainly plan to return. The hotel is in an outstanding location for central Carlisle. Well-equipped room with plenty of space, a very comfortable bed and a useful kitchen area. Choice of coffee and tea was good and the crumpets, butter, marmalade and fresh milk supplied were very welcome.
The accommodation is a bit tired and some floor finishes need replaced. Accessibility is patchy so, if you want stair-free access you will have to make a point of asking. Given that we asked for a shower instead of a bath for reasons of access, we shouldn’t really have had to have asked (a couple of stars deducted for this).

I was in room 108 could hear the street noise but understandable been in the middle of town only problem was key card didn’t work on the outside door to get back into the hotel so was outside in the cold till I found someone to let me in 12.30 at night so was very cold
