Disappointing.
Pros:

Breakfast and location.

Cons:

Very old furniture in our room, uncomfortable bed and pillows. It felt like it needed money spent on the common areas.

Lovely Stay in Portaferry
Pros:

The location is great - just across from the harbour as you land in Portaferry from Strangford. The room was comfortable with excellent tea/coffee-making facilities, and TV. The breakfast was nice (salmon and scrambled egg on wheaten bread). The bathroom had a bath, which I made use of. It is a small and charming hotel with some character.

Cons:

It was annoying, and a little surprising to be honest, having to move the kettle from the dresser to the bedside locker in order to be able to plug it in - there should be more adaptors, I think the TV occupied the only adaptor available. Lack of personal communication from the hotel was somewhat surprising - they send a welcome message saying not to hesitate to contact them if there's any assistance needed etc. I did message them with some questions, but received no answer. Then after check-out I received a message asking me to give feedback... A quick message even acknowledging a guest's message would be nice.

Lovely stay, good value for money
Pros:

The location is great, staff is friendly and the deluxe room is very spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. Breakfast was included in the reservation and it was handy to have dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Food was delicious. Great to have a TV in the room too as we were able to watch the World Cup match. Good value for money!

Cons:

The room was very warm, but I understand that this type of weather is rare so no point in investing in an AC system. Having a fan would have helped, but once the sun was down it got pleasant with the windows opened.

As the hotel is on the main street, it can be quite noisy especially with the windows opened. But I had my earplugs in so I was able to sleep ok.

Also, the room could with some blackout curtains as it was very bright in the morning.

Lastly, breakfast was only available from 9-10am, but this is understandable as the hotel seemed to be quiet and it didn’t interfere with our plans.

The room and overlooking sea view. Friendly staff

Cons:

Only minor thing, avocado on sourdough breakfast was from bottle instead of fresh. Always use fresh ingredients. Scramble egg and salmon was lovely

Great hotel in picturesque village
Pros:

Great view of Strangford Lough from our room. Very comfortable bed. Staff were friendly and available to help if needed. Plenty of choice for breakfast. We also had an evening meal in the bar which was delicious and well priced.

Cons:

Passersby on the street can see into room. Maybe voile curtains would add some privacy while getting dressed/changed. Also one or two small paintings in the room would add to the already enjoyable experience.

Nice homely hotel set in a friendly village
Pros:

A nice friendly hotel across the road from the Ferry, so a great location. Lovely lady at check-in. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Great breakfast included in the price. Will definitely return again as it’s such a lovely and friendly village.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike. It’s not very modern but it has nice character and was clean & comfortable.

Pros:

Location is just opposite the ferry.

Cons:

Stayed in room 14 which was very small and extremely dated.
Had food in bar which was good.
Was told by the bar staff that last orders were 10:30 but a night porter was starting at 11pm and would accommodate us.
Bar staff left at 11, asked the night porter for a drink at 11:15 while we were watching the football and he told us he isn't allowed to serve alcohol.
