Great location and friendly dogs at the lodge!
Pros:

Fantastic location for visiting the Transfăgărășan highway and Vidraru Dam. The staff were friendly and room clean. The dogs at the lodge were super cute and friendly!

Cons:

The bathroom lighting is dim at its brightest and appeared to be motion sensor but couldn’t figure out how to turn it on brighter. We ended up showering in the dark. The rooms would benefit with some mosquito netting as we closed the windows at night and it got stuffy.

Pros:

Micul dejun nu a fost oferit in tariful achitat.

Cons:

Lenjeria, fie nu a fost inlocuita complet, fie nu a fost spalata profesionist. Zgomot pe holul locatiei, de la latratul cainilor. Cainii stau la masa cu clientii, iar preparatele culinare, daca nu sunt prost gatite, sunt reincalzite sau refolosite.

A fost o experienta minunata!
Pros:

Micul dejun a fost foarte bogat si variat, servirea exemplara, iar amplasarea cabanei excelenta.
Mancarea in general a fost delicioasa, pe langa preparatele traditionale, am savurat o delicioasa ciorba de burta.
Vinul fiert si palinca din partea casei au fost foarte bine venite pentru a ne reveni dupa timpul petrecut in zapada.
Multumim de ospitalitate, vom reveni cu siguranta.

Really friendly and attentive staff - beautiful location
Pros:

We loved the food served at the restaurant and the staff were very professional, friendly and attentive.
The location was lovely and we felt really good and relaxed.

Cons:

Having the room at the first floor towards the terrace downstairs, in the morning it got a bit loud from the people talking and carrying their hiking gear. There was also quite a lot of noise coming from upstairs and the hallway from noisy guests early in the morning.
The shower water was inconsistent with the temperature. It was switching quite a lot between hot and cold.
The parking lot can get quite busy, so a place is not guaranteed.

Stop over at the Transfagarasan
Pros:

This charming pension along the panoramic road up to the mountains exceeded my expectations. The staff were outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The food was excellent, and the cook was really flexible regarding orders for the breakfast.
The location is perfect for nature lovers—peaceful and scenic. I appreciated that dogs are welcome for a reasonable fee, and even though there are "wild" dogs around, they didn’t cause any issues with my own dog (I decided to take mine off the leash immediately). Just a small tip: keep an eye out for bears if you intend exploring the area!

Ich würde wieder buchen!
Pros:

Praktisch an der Transfagarischen Strasse gelegen, gutes Essen, freundlicher Gastgeber, saubere, schöne Zimmer.

Cons:

Alles war wunderbar. Die letzten Meter zur Unterkunft auf unbefestigter Strasse. Ist aber kein Problem. Grosse Hunde, welche das Haus draussen bewachen. Verhielten sich dezent.
