It filled a bucket list to attend Currumbin Dawn Service. I probably wouldn't stay there again.
Pros:

The location was absolutely perfect to be able to go to the ANZAC Dawn Service at Elephant Rock. The weather was not on our side as it rained the whole time. The beach was just at the back gate so very impressive. It was a treat to receive ANZAC biscuits at our door.

Cons:

The unit was not very clean, we arrived at night and when we entered the unit, cockroaches were scurrying everywhere. We took a cheese platter with us for supper, and we opened the kitchen drawer and again cockroaches were in the cutlery drawer along with their droppings. We literally had to wash everything before we used it. No milk in the unit for a cup of coffee either.

A great place that is comfortable
Pros:

Well appointed room with everything you need. Although dated, the furnishings were clean and comfortable.

Cons:

Whilst the room layout was good, there were things lacking by way of secured storage of cleaners utilities.

Outstanding stay at Sandcastles on Currumbin
Pros:

We recently stayed in a ground‑floor three‑bedroom apartment at Sandcastles on Currumbin Beach and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The location is absolutely superb – just a short stroll to the beach and surf club, and within easy walking distance of local markets, fantastic cafes, and the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s an ideal base where you can park the car and enjoy everything the area has to offer.

The facilities really add to the appeal. The pool area is fantastic and perfect for relaxing or keeping the kids happy, and the BBQ facilities are excellent – well set up, clean, and great for easy holiday meals. The mare extremely welcoming, friendly, and were so helpful throughout our stay. It’s clear they take genuine pride in the property and the experience of their guests.

The apartment itself was immaculate – spotlessly clean, well laid out, and very comfortable. Everything felt well looked after, from the interiors to the common areas. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with lush gardens that give the whole complex a calm, resort‑style feel.

Overall, Sandcastles on Currumbin Beach is a wonderfully managed property in an unbeatable location. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, high‑quality accommodation option. We’ll definitely be back.
