Great family accommodation in a beautiful location
Pros:

Great location. Beach access. Comfortable beds. Secure parking. Air conditioning. Amazing hosts that went out of their way to return my kindle I had left behind.

Cons:

The only small downside was that rubbish from previous guests was left in the bin under the sink which was quite smelly. Otherwise great property and would highly recommend.

Almost perfect. This place as the potential to be amazing if there was a little more attention to detail.
Pros:

Fantastic location and big apartment. Outdoor areas very well maintained. Property manager was very responsive and helpful.

Cons:

The apartment wasn’t my standard of clean. Wasn’t notified of aircon not working before the stay. Would have been nice we had been offered a different apartment. When we did enquire we were offered a portable unit which was good.

Great location . very comfortable. great host.
Pros:

Barry was very friendly and helpful. Gave us some good advice on local dining and attractions. nothing was to much trouble for him. definitely would stay there again. Thanks for your help Barry.

We loved our stay at Sandcastles - it ticked all the boxes and we were very happy
Pros:

Check in was super easy, Barry was very friendly and helpful, apartment was fabulous - very clean and modern, and super handy location and proximity to the beach, we loved having the pool so close to the room with a wee outdoor balcony overlooking it, and really good to have undercover parking in the garage.

Comfortable and convenient for where we wanted to go
Pros:

Convenient to the Currumbin wildlife’s park and beach.

Cons:

Stairs. My apartment was on the second floor. As an older person I found up and down stairs very difficult and tiring and needed to use my walking sticks. Various stairs also in complex. Would help if advert mentions stairs.

Great location and a beautifully renovated unit
Pros:

Great location, apartment 7 was beautifully renovated and had air conditioning. This room is on the ground floor and looks out to the pool. No ocean view but straight out the side gate and you are on the beach. Only a small complex so not busy, we had the pool to ourselves each time we used it. Barry was lovely and welcoming.

Cons:

My teenagers only had one complaint and that was the lack of a full length mirror in the room!!

Unit 19 Absolute rip off for the price charged. In need of significant work and pest control.
Pros:

Good location - no road to cross to access the beach

Cons:

My husband, daughter and I stayed in Unit 19 for 6 nights in early January. We were charged just shy of $1,000/night. As such I had reasonably high expectations given you can easily get a 5 star hotel room for this price. We were grossly disappointed.
- unit not clean, serious bug problem including cockroaches, ants and other random bugs
- it was noted in the listing that the unit was air conditioned. However this was misleading as there was only an AC unit in the living room, not in either bedroom. We wanted a space where our young child could sleep comfortably in the peak of summer, and where we could still move around freely after she went to sleep. This didn’t end up being possible as we had to blast the AC from the living room at night and keep her door open
- furniture was cheap and in many cases broken
- mattresses were terrible, very thin and you could feel the springs through them. We woke up every morning uncomfortable
- towels provided were grossly inadequate sizes for an adult
- the shower screen in the main bathroom leaked, causing a major flood in the bathroom whenever the shower was used
-kitchen facilities also grossly inadequate - maybe 5 forks/knives available at max
- hot water got hot dangerously quickly and then cut in and out, going from freezing to scalding in an instant unexpectedly
- no proper storage provided in bedrooms, just some flimsy felt shelves
- all walls were damaged and/or paint chipped
- all handles/metal fittings were corroded

Great apartment, close proximity to beach and cafes.
Pros:

Apartment was large and clean. Beautiful views over the beach. Great BBQ area. Great location for morning beach walk and plenty of wonderful cafes just up the street.

Cons:

It is close to the airport so frequent planes flying overhead.
