A very mixed experience- we booked this hotel hoping to benefit from the facilities before our trip- but there was no facility to benefit from- no sauna or pool or wellness center, just the gym that we didn’t check. There is a bus station in front of the hotel, which helped getting into town. The personnel was kind of nice and tried to help but overall it was not worth it. It is the kind of place big tourism companies book if they need rooms for 50/60 people, but certainly not the type of place individuals would book.
-The highest tourist tax we paid during our whole Uzbekistan trip- 4.5 USD per person was too much considering the room rate.
-We came 1hr after the breakfast started and there was almost no food left- it was shocking. And there was no intention to refill.
-Our room faced the side of the hotel that was under renovation. We did not have any natural light as the scaffolding was on.
-There was a big misunderstanding concerning the laundry service- we were not given the prices before hand and the receptionist assured us “it’s going to be cheap anyways, like 4/5 dollars” only to end up paying per piece for everything- every panty, every pair of socks- over 20 dollars. It was unpleasant as we could have been given a list of prices beforehand and we would have decided to wash less.
-So why pay for a fancy hotel if you get a basic room with no facilities, plus the distance. It was time consuming to even wait for the Yandex.
Very good welcome and very good breakfast
(+)
-The building is quite nice overall
-the staff, especially the front desk, is very friendly and helpful
-high ceilings
-breakfast was sufficient, but not special
(-)
-wifi was not strong enough in our room; several people would congregate in the lobby because that is where the wifi was strong and could handle streaming
-2nd floor had sheets covering the entire carpet from one end of the building to the other. Lame
-noisy from the highway
