Location was very pretty and swimming pool was nice. Good selection for breakfast
Found 3 pairs of jeans in my closet and a pair of used men's underwear.
Dinner was disappointing, I ordered the steak and was tough as old boots tbh
Young staff but very friendly and helpful. Food and cocktails were lovely. Very comfortable beds especially the pillows! Very clean.
We had a bit of a wait for a table at breakfast time. But offered tea/coffee while we waited.
Comfy beds.
Excellent spa.
Nothing
Lovely location and when we went into hotel just thought it and surroundings were beautiful . All staff in leisure centre and delivery guy in particular were very nice. Most staff were pleasant.
Lodges are good just need some maintenance. The hotel itself seemed lovely but more like a good wedding venue only in my opinion. The food we got was delicious. Got parked right outside our apartment.
Arrived before check in and had a walk. Lodge wasn’t ready until 4:30’yet check in at 4.
Went to lodge, quite run down, bathroom downstairs had broken door handle and just smelled of damp. Massive cobwebs on bedroom ceiling and broken handles on windows.
Went to leisure centre. What a joke. Great for kids. Just noisy, a swimming instructor playing with kids making more noise than them. Couldn’t lie on loungers as they were being used for people’s robes and towels including the swimming instructor. Didn’t use gym as it was packed. A sauna that is for gym membership and guests and seats 6 people. Nowhere to hang stuff when out at the out door hot tub that you can
Only have 2 people in or 4 if family. No where for water drinking. Full of kids or the local minor football team.
Went back to lodge as we couldn’t even be bothered to try the bar or restaurant at that stage. Ordered takeaway from hotel and charged €7 to bring a 2 minute walk. We went back to leisure centre knowing it would be quiet. Facilities are ridiculous as my local leisure centre has more.
Woke up to diggers etc on work site behind us. Breakfast times very short.
Omg, what a circus that was. Tiny place with way too many people at the one time and kids in your way on top of that. Had to ask reception about facilities and check out etc when checking in and when we went for breakfast got no info just told its self service. No such thing as you order tea at table or what was where. It was absolutely ridiculous. I have never been so disappointed. You have to take out your own rubbish in lodge or you are fined. This khotel is far from a 4 star. The disabled toilet in leisure centre is so run down. Stay regularly in a 4 star spa hotel
In the north and Johnstown Estate isn’t even close. Pushing to be 3 star.
Everything, everybody so helpful and friendly.
Nothing
From start to finish it was beautiful. A truly irish Estate friendly clean and relaxing.
Restaurant food was outstanding.
We stayed in the lodge.
Breakfast was busy so would recommend going earlier finished at 10am so everyone was like us rushing at 9.40.
Great location, welcoming & relaxing environment, lovely room with comfortable bed.
Staff were very hospitable & helpful.
The restaurants were great but would have preferred a different menu in the restaurants. We only stayed 3 nights as we were visiting family & ate together mostly in the hotel but would have preferred different menus & more varied choices on the menu. Breakfast was great with lots of choice.
The inside of apartments was clean and comfortable
Booked 2 kids and partner for a swim, the pool had barley any staff, a football team were there of approx 20 plus men, who monopolised the jacuzzi, hot tub and steam room.. rules were clearly on wall, at one stage there were 12 in the jacuzzi inside and 6 outside.. no staff to enforce safety.. all team in pool with no hats.. my husband and son, couldn't get dressed in changing room as there was people's belongings all over the floor... the showers were awful and so too were changing rooms the men were loud and rude and conversations being shouted not for childrens ears... the Free complimentary WiFi in the apartments was non existent.. no coverage for kids on devices.. the selection of drinks at the bar was awful.. the outside of apartments was so run down. Some with mattresses laying outside. Paint falling off the walls.. check in at 4pm ( far too late) and check out at 11am at almost 500 euro a night. I was so annoyed..
Gorgeous hotel. Lots of lovely areas to sit and relax. The spa is fabulous!
Quite a long drive on country roads to get there.
