A great choice for a Cotswolds stay.
Pros:

A lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was plentiful and the dinner menu was good. A great bar with a fireplace for the winter months. A decent pub is also across the road. We chose to stay here instead of Cirencester (only 6 kms away) as it gave us a Cotswolds village 'experience' whilst still being close to the historic town. Parking was also a big plus for us.

Pros:

Breakfast and location good.
Parking a bit tricky.No places on returning one evening

Cons:

I would have liked some form of mirror in the bedroom. Luckily I always pack one.
A towel rail in ensuite would help as just one hook on door for 4 towels is not good.

Die Lage ist perfekt für Ausflüge in den Cotswolds. Der Pub hat leckeres Essen und einem großartigen Frühstück und ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet. Das Zimmer war sehr gemütlich.

Bad access for stairs if you have a health issue.
Pros:

Nothing.

Cons:

We didn’t end up staying there because of the bad staircase and no lift so booked elsewhere with no refund due to cancellation policy. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this old hotel.

No mirror in bedroom to do make up and hair.
Had to take down bathroom mirror to use.
Breakfast at 9am which we were offered the time and juices, yoghurt not replenished.

Lovely pub perfect for a few nights stay!
Pros:

Really lovely pub. The rooms were modern, clean and perfect for our stay. We used the pub for an overnight stay before competing in 113 Cotswold and the location was ideal.

Cons:

Die Duscharmatur ist definitiv nicht Hotel-tauglich und einfach kaputt.
Für Rührei mussten wir 25 Minuten warten.

Prima verblijf op een mooie locatie.
Pros:

Prachtige omgeving, gezellige pub, sfeervol ingerichte kamer en vriendelijk personeel. Het ontbijt was prima, voldoende keuze en goede koffie.

Cons:

In de voegen en het kit van de douche zit behoorlijk wat schimmel, dat is ongezond en heeft aandacht nodig. Ik denk vanwege beperkte ontluchting in de badkamer. Het matras is wat ingezakt aan de zijkant, waardoor ik uit bed rolde.

Nice hotel but could be so much better.
Pros:

The property itself is a lovely old stone building.
The staff were very good.
The cooked breakfast was excellent, one of the best hotel breakfasts for a long time.
Room furniture and lamps were lovely.

Cons:

It needs some TLC maintenance. We appreciate the property is old but keeping window frames and woodwork chip free, clean and painted should be a priority.

The bathroom needed more attention. Base of taps weren’t particularly clean. Window frames again weren’t clean and needed work. The anti slip mat for the shower should be destroyed, it was very old given the colour and the reverse was covered in black mould.

No ordinary teabags in the refreshment tray, not everyone wants camomile, peppermint etc. only one non-decaf coffee sachet in the tray also!
It’s these details that people expect when they are paying to stay at a hotel.
