Our stay at The Dorp was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The interior design is stunning — every space feels thoughtfully curated, blending comfort and style in a way that makes the whole place feel special and welcoming. You can tell a lot of care has gone into every detail, and it creates such a beautiful atmosphere to relax in.
The food was exceptional as well. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had!
The staff were equally fantastic — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They made us feel completely at home and were always happy to help with anything we needed, which really elevated the whole experience.
The location is also perfect, with incredible views that make the setting feel peaceful and unique. Waking up and taking in the surroundings was something we looked forward to every day.
Overall, The Dorp is a truly special place. Beautiful design, amazing food, wonderful staff, and an unbeatable location — we loved every minute of our stay and can’t wait to come back.

Das Hotel ist mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und hat eine klare, stimmige Geschichte. Man merkt sofort, dass das Team sehr harmonisch zusammenarbeitet und die Philosophie des Hauses wirklich lebt. Das gesamte Hotel und auch die Zimmer waren ausgesprochen sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders schön war auch die ruhige Lage – obwohl Kapstadt eine lebendige Stadt ist, bekommt man davon im Hotel kaum etwas mit. Der Ausblick ist traumhaft. Als wir zu Beginn ein Zimmer direkt gegenüber der Küche hatten, das morgens und abends recht laut war, wurde sehr schnell und unkompliziert reagiert und wir konnten problemlos das Zimmer wechseln.
Das Hotel liegt recht steil am Hang, sodass man es meist nur gut mit Auto oder Uber erreicht. Das hat uns persönlich aber nicht weiter gestört.

There isn’t a liquor license but the are very good at allowing you to bring your own alcohol and also keep a bottle open for a complimentary drink if needed.

The staff make this place truly special. There is a genuine warmth about the welcome — they remember your name and take time for a friendly chat, yet with a natural ease that never feels intrusive.
The building itself is beautiful, with high ceilings and wonderfully generous spaces. Our room had a large terrace with a stunning view of Table Mountain.
The food is delicious — simple, thoughtful home cooking rather than elaborate fine dining, which we very much appreciated

Great location with stunning views - wonderful staff - v helpful and accommodating. Although we didn’t have the opportunity to try the restaurant it is a beautiful space. Great breakfast.
