Amazing location. Clean and with very nicea staff
If you will stay under the kitchen you will have a lot of noise as the walls are very thin and you can hear everyone talk, walk, chop food in the kitchen, using the upstairs toilet.
A very nice (new) experience for me. Everything was nice, very clean, host is very nice and helpful. The location is great and you can easily reach multiple atractions around.
- The location
- Comfortable matress
- Nice sun deck
On arrival we were informed that our double room was given to another guest who extented his stay, therefore they only had twin rooms available where we couldn't join the beds.
Second person we spoke to said that actually our room was given, by mistake, to someone who checked in earlier that day. She was very relaxed and not concerned at all about our discomfort. Her attitude was "you either take it or leave it", which is totally unprofessional.
Considering the rooms are 20-30% more expensive than other hotels in the area which have a SPA & swimmingpool, i was not expecting to encounter this sort of behaviour.
Another downside is that they only take cash payments.
We found the most welcoming hosts in a small port on the Old Danube ramification. The floating hotel was very comfortable, equipped with all the facilities. Super clean rooms with nice view. Dinner was excellent and you can relax and enjoy a good bottle of wine on the roof terrace.
When we 1st seen the hotel idea, we... we were like... Wow! Something nice!!!
And, except that it was locate inside a gravel quarry - when a truck was passing by it felt like Sahara - and near a ferry departure point (quite noisy in the day but not quite disturbing), location paid off.
The evening and night view over Old Danube is wonderful. With a glass of white Macin (Sarica Niculitel) wine is almost perfect. Especially when everybody went to sleep and is just you, the stars, the willows and Old Danube.
There are 2 main issues:
1- entire building is made to float so, somehow, the quality/choice of materials is on the lower side. In a windy day expect to hear the waves battering into walls and moving chairs on the upper level. Also, I managed to get of the doorknob... it looks like a clumsy repair
2 - there was a big upselling regarding the food. We discussed about a price per meal (dinner/breakfast) and we taxed by dish. We did not complain, but left us a bitter taste.
