Nothing - All great
The size was perfect. The bed was very comfortable.
The couch downstairs was very uncomfortable. They were dusty and full of hair. But we were able to cover them with a blanket and make it work.
Location
Bathroom needs update
Location, Staff Brandon & young lady that completed my check in & check out.
The overnight staff being rude, not wanting to provide assistance & very unfriendly. Staff gave me a hard time to get a replacement card when I was locked out. Not once did she ask for ID but 1st asked ne to use kiosk, (which i informed her doesnt work for me), then asked about what room who in the room where ny key etc.
The distance to Toyota Center and how clean it was a the 24hr coffee station.
Loved everything
The location was close to downtown.
I want to preface- this is a long, well earned review. I grew up in a single parent household poor and financially struggling, so I lived the American dream as every other kid (community college, big university, health industry job, suburb house). I have lived in many states and cities and have been exposed to the highest and lowest echelons of American classes and cultures. This review is entirely from my own personal experiences and perspective- and in no way biased besides my own memories and life experiences. My anniversary vacation started with not being able to find the Rusk House building at night of checking in; the construction happening on the surrounding streets made it difficult to find the correct one way street to follow at night. Realizing that Google Maps wouldn’t bring us to where we wanted to be, we shyly called the Rusk House and asked for instructions to take to the building. We circled around approximately 4 times before we came across the right intersection that brought us to the door of the valet. Despite this, me and my partner still had very high spirits for our anniversary night, and were pleased with the kind gentleman at valet, who let us access our car even after parking (+1). Well you know this went downhill quickly, like being at the top of a rollercoaster at Six Flags, and I’ll tell you exactly why. A woman, in her late thirties or forties, not particularly tall or short but African American, was our receptionist for our night out in the town. With all the necessary tools for one’s yearly valentines day/anniversary celebration carried in your hands (+ luggage from being out of town) in our hands, we approached the only white counter at the entrance expecting to check in (My hands were both full and heavy). I kid you not, we stood there, out in the lobby, standing in front of the receptionist with 4-5 bags of luggage in hand, and asked about checking in for a reservation, something like “Hello, I’m here to check in”.
Easy to manage.
Nothing
Location downtown. Close to highways. Staff was friendly for the most part.
Shower water pressure was close to zero. First 2 days was good then last 3 the shower wouldn't work because the water pressure was so low the valve you pull up on the faucet wouldn't stay up.
Valet kept messing up. Staff comped my valet so that was a wash. TV remotes didn't work. Elevators made a clanking sound all night and on the pullout sofa it was quite noisy in room 1102.
I'm sure we just got a buggered up room and I bet you the rest of the place is great.
Location, amenities and staff were amazing. We were able to walk to so many places including the free train. Travis took good care of us at the hotel providing excellent customer service!
Everything was great!
