Clean and friendly staff
The walls are a little too thin
The only problem is the rooms are quite small

We had really nice stay in this hotel. It was last minute reservation, because the hotel that we were supposed to stay canceled day before our arrival. So we had to find new hotel and we found Skystar. The thing we love about this hotel is that it’s really clean. They clean room and change towels every day. Bed is super comfy and you have everything you need. The room was small, but for mid budget hotel it was nice with new furniture. You can make tea and coffee in the room. Host was really helpful and polite. Location was good, because it’s near metro Tophane. If you’re looking for nice and clean mid budget hotel, this can be good choice.
We didn’t like sound isolation, it was bit noisey. We could hear people talking in the room next to ours. But since it’s not crowded hotel and you spend most of your time outside, this wasn’t big problem for us. Also breakfast could be better. I think they have enough space in the lobby to split it for bigger restaurant area, make it cozy enough and then add some omlette, maybe pancakes, coffee machine or juice machine. It would make perfect breakfast.

Our room was on 4th floor and on the 5th floor were renovation works which started at 8am every morning and were very noisy, as the walls are very thin and you can even hear how people in other rooms brushing teeth. No one warned us about this, we couldn’t rest in our room and had to leave it early to escape the loud noise.
Breakfast is not really breakfast, just a few items.

The room is really small, i knew that it will be 18m2 but it is really small. Without balcony.
The air conditioning has a problem, it wont stop. It can not be turned off and we covered it with a towel so the fan can be acceptable. The room is really small and the air conditioning too strong for the room. We asked the staff how to turn that off and they said that the ac is broken. Very careful, ask them maybe they can do something. We have a flu due to strong ac.
There is no view for the room. Maybe for a higher price.
On top of that, it was ok for the price we paid.

The hotel is new, facilities are good, clean and nice. The staff is nice and tries to help despite the language barrier - they don’t speak English, only basic words. Our room has been cleaned for the entire duration of our stay, towels were changed daily. Sometimes they forgot to bring toilet paper and water but it was offered when we asked. Our room was quiet, it was facing an internal courtyard, so we didn’t hear any of the outside noises. The location is nice, lots of restaurants nearby, close to metro/buses/tram - 5-10 walk depending on what public transportation we were looking for. Wi-Fi is good and fast. We were able to work.
Room is very small. We had trouble with the AC - sometimes it didn’t stop, sometimes it didn’t start, it made some strange noises in the middle of the night, sometimes it started pushing hot air despite us putting it in 16 degrees. We asked for help and it was hard to get the message through due to the language barrier. They didn’t really know how it worked since the facilities are new, but they were supportive and fixed it eventually. The private parking is actually parking on the street.
