Its stunning! The architecture is outstanding and the rooms are decorated with lots of love. The food is one of the best of La Punta (both breakfast & dinner) and the staff is so lovely! Special shoutout to Manuel!
Its really close to the main road and the doors are not isolated: this means you will hear the music from the main street. Fortunately we had good earplugs but without them I wouldnt know what to do.

The front desk staff were friendly and efficient, and the hotel was impressively clean throughout. Food and drink service was excellent, and breakfast was a highlight—delicious and served in a charming ground-floor garden setting. The room itself was stylish with a modern, minimalist design; though, a few softer touches could make it feel more comfortable and inviting.
Unfortunately, the noise levels in the room made it nearly impossible to rest. Despite using earplugs, I was constantly disturbed by barking dogs, motorbikes, and passing trucks. The open architectural design of the hotel leaves it fully exposed to external noise, with no soundproofing in place. To make matters worse, on the second morning of my stay, loud maintenance work began just outside my room at 6:10 a.m.—a clear oversight in guest consideration.
It's disappointing because this hotel has real potential, but until the noise issue is addressed, I wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending Hotel Xique to friends or family. From reading other reviews, it seems this is a recurring issue. I truly hope the team finds a solution—this place could be something special.
The best hotel Boutique that I’ve been to. Highly recommend to stay in Puerto Escondido. Everybody is so nice and the hotel tales care of every detail. Food is amazing.

Rooftop terrace was amazing , the food and the staff were good too
The hotel is in a very noisy area and the rooms are not sealed so there is no quiet.
We should have done a bit more research in to Puerto Escondido as it wasn’t really our scene but that’s no the fault of the hotel.
The best part was the staff!!! All of the members and service professionals were amazing!! Kind, attentive, friendly and helpful. The design of the building and the rooftop bar and pool are lovely and and a great way the enjoy the evening
The area is quite noisy so challenging to get a solid restful sleep. Definitely used the earplugs provided at my bedside table. The restaurant food was mediocre
The space is beautiful, with some of the best common areas of any boutique hotel I've been to. You can tell that a great deal of care and attention to detail goes into their indoor/outdoor restaurant on the main floor and the rooftop pool/bar. The rooms are nicely styled with a mix of traditional and contemporary elements. All of them include balconies, and some offer sea views. I also found the food and drinks here to be elevated and well-prepared — based on my experience, some of the best in the area. If you're just visiting for the day, this place is a 10/10.
In terms of the hotel guest experience, I think Xiqué still has a way to go to provide a truly relaxing stay. I found both the bed and bedding to be average, the pillows were too lumpy and the bedding was coarse, though I realize this is highly subjective. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. If you're providing guests with Nespresso pods and drinking water in the room at check-in, this should be a daily standard. Unfortunately, outside of day one, this wasn't the case for us.
However, the biggest issue with this hotel, and I imagine others in the area suffer from this as well, is that being in a loud neighborhood and having rooms with little soundproofing is not an ideal combination. The hotel does provide earplugs, which help to an extent, but as a light sleeper, it's definitely something to keep in mind.
This hotel is fabulous and is a beautiful space to experience the best of contemporary Mexican rustic-chic style and cuisine. The garden, the architecture and the decor are gorgeous. The food is refined and super delicious. The service is impeccable and their are so many thoughtful details. The price, location and view are excellent. If you don’t stay here, at least go and enjoy the restaurant.
The only down side was the noise. Not excessive, but being so close to the action, unavoidable I suppose.
The rooftop was lovely, and staff very friendly
I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Xique in Puerto Escondido. It’s a beautiful property with stunning facilities — especially the rooftop, which quickly became my favorite spot. The location is perfect: tucked just off the main road, quiet but still just a 5-minute walk to the beach.
The food and beverage options were incredible, making it easy to spend the whole day at the hotel without needing to go elsewhere. The service was top-notch — huge thanks to Yared, Max, Charlie, and the rest of the team for their warm hospitality and constant attention to detail.
My room was cleaned daily, well air-conditioned, and super comfortable. The staff was always willing to help, whether it was booking a taxi or simply bringing over a glass of water. Not much more you could ask for — I’ll definitely be back.
