Pretty pleasant
Pros:

Central location near the tram line. The room is spacious, and I love the retro deco. The bed is so comfortable. And the pub is just downstairs, so convenient. So clean.

Venligt personale, fin beliggenhed og rigtig fint værelse. Men larmen både inde og ude var til gene.
Cons:

Der var larm fra underliggende bar og spisestedslokaler på samme etage indtil ca. kl.23. Vinduerne var ikke tætte, så der var en del larm fra trafikken udenfor inkl. en letbane der hylede på skinnerne hver gang den passerede forbi.

Charming and stylish.
Pros:

Clearly this hotel is being lovingly restored to reflect its vintage. We booked over Christmas and while the hotel food and drink areas were closed we were given access to our suites via a lock box.

The rooms were spacious, charmingly restored and spotless. All linen bedding and towels of lovely quality including provisions for a light breakfast and !!fresh milk!!

Cafes and restaurants nearby and walking distance to Lygon St and Brunswick Rd ( for enthusiastic walkers like us)

Would definitely book again.

Nice place.
Pros:

Did not have breakfast there (but it was nice that something was provided in case!).

Cons:

Spacious bathroom was good but two design flaws:
1. No towel rail
2. Shower head fixed and high (no possibility of angle adjustment; very stylish I'm sure, but not very user friendly.

Only other thing: it was considerate of staff to open the windows before I arrived to let the place air out, and same again each day, but I was not getting back until the kitchen was in full swing. The exhaust chimney of which is very close to the rear windows of the suite. I had three nights sauteed in a strong scent of what seemed to be smoked chorizo. Chihuahuas were following me round during the day :-)
These are minor quibbles. I would stay again.
