Good for the history. Not a true 5-star hotel in reality.
Pros:

The history of the building is the reason I chose to stay here.

Cons:

The welcome was very cold / transactional. A very small / simple request (for a teabag) was refused and yet their website says they are ‘effortlessly luxurious’.

This is a nice hotel but will not stay again for reasons listed above.
Pros:

Comfortable, nice rooms,historic building

Cons:

Breakfast was out of many things every day. Whiskey bar was closed (Sun, Mon, Private party) every night we were there. There is a smell of chlorine from the pool in the lobby. We had stayed there before with some problems and were promised a $200 rebate, which was not honored. The hotel did not respond to reminders of this.

Iconic hotel in a great location.
Pros:

The decor was lovely, the location was great, near the restaurants and shops of Foggy Bottom. A 10 minute walk to Georgetown for more food, shopping, and river cruises. A 15 minute walk to the Lincoln Memorial. The rooms were quiet and the staff friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The Spa was OK but we found the salt water pool difficult to swim in and the spa wasn’t very easy to sit in.

Pros:

I loved the ambience of the hotel it gave upscale and classy….I love that all my accomadtions was fulfilled….i would like to s/o mesfin asfaha for making sure my birthday balloons was available upon entry….Valet was amazingggg 10000 stars!!! Everyone was so friendly and nice and welcoming….The bartender sean was amazing he needs a raise!!!!

Pros:

Loved everything the staff was amazing , room service was so friendly and nice. Loved the area and great hospitality

Cons:

Did not like spa front desk , was not acknowledged when I arrived to spa . Receptionist did not explain what was included , how I could get a massage did not tell me about anything and it was my birthday weekend . When walking away from desk her and another lady started talking about how I did not belong there. I felt so uncomfortable in that area.

Terrible hotel! You guys ruined my proposal and I will forever hate this stupid hotel and staff!
Pros:

If I could rate it lower I would. The only nice thing was the sauna. Nothing else was good.

Cons:

I have a list
1. Disrespectful staff
2. Staff not knowing policy and lifting to guest
3. Room service sucked and took hours
4. The food was ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!! Overpriced for nothing! Disgusting!
5. There was never staff available
6. Valet is not $45 like booking says; it’s freaking $65! Then the valet is never there when needed with YOUR car.
7. Any respect you make will be denied.
8. Check in is extremely late with an estate check out. They’re just trying trying to take your money.

Very over priced and not worth it. The worse hotel experience! I will never go back. It was 5 stars but I wouldn’t even give it 1.
