Wirklich nichts
Viel China!
Ausstattung abgenutzt oder kaputt (Türe)
Matratzen in Plastik eingewickelt und in der Hälfte geteilt - in der Länge.
Mäßig sauber.
Frühstück ist unterirdisch.
The hotel is very nice and they stuff is super friendly. They let us use their car, and they dropped us off and picked us up from the airport. They were super nice and invited us for BBQ. They rooms are nice and we enjoyed our stay
Bed was good, Wifi was excellent. People were friendly.
Breakfast included stated "Continental" so was expecting cereal, fruit, tea / coffee etc.
Was surprised with a prepared platter of sweet pastries / baked goods, boiled egg, carton milk or pineapple drink. (not juice)
The room was terribly in need of repair.
Loose wiring, leaky plumbing, windows that wont open (or shut).
Dirty.
Confusion when settling account as I'm from NZD, invoice was emailed in USD, and desk asked to pay in TOP, but after much exchange conversion, we figured it out. :)
I like that it was comfortable
Well they did say breakfast was included the breakfast they gave us the cakes and muffins were stale i really thought they were going to offer bacon and eggs on toast
Not a lot, the only saving grace was the ever welcoming and helpful receptionist, a local lady, who did her best to try and address the problems we encountered. The hotel is owned by a Chinese and so is probably targeted for that market.
There is a lot unfinished around the place: for example, we had a TV on the wall in our room but the power socket hanging down loose would not fit in the wall socket. Besides which there was no video cable to connect it and no remote. The only way we could use the kettle in the room was to stand it on one of the seats from the table so that it could reach the nearest wall socket. The shower leaked under the floor so that the floor tiles rocked and squirted little geysers of water as you tread on them. The "breakfast is included" comprises shrink-wrapped savouries (cold hot dog) or sweet biscuits and cakes, so we left and went out for breakfasts instead. We could go on.....
Location
Close to town
The bed was comfortable
The staff, especially the kids, had great service and accommodating when they helped out.
Location was good for us.
We didn't stay at the Lata which is what i had booked for, Instead, they put us in the Meida without my knowledge until we got to the Meida. They put us there to accommodate for the very last-minute cancellation Lata hotel did to me and my family. The Meida Hotel was very dirty. We ended up buying cleaning products to clean our bathrooms ourselves. When we asked for cleaning products, they gave us dishwashing liquid to clean with. When we requested clean towels, they either ran out or made us feel uncomfortable to ask
The toilet was always blocked in all the rooms and unblocked by the staff. They used the same plunger for the toilet to unblock the bathroom sink. It was gross. There are people who do long stay at the hotel. Therefore, their under garments are hanging outside, displayed on a clothes airer as soon as you walk to reception, not a good look and the first impression was disbelief. The parking space is taken up by randoms not staying at the hotel and its ok to. The stay in tonga was amazing, the hotel was a big disappointment for my family and I.
The bathroom was not nice nor was the rooms outlook
Walking distance (30mins) to town and the manager was kind
The strangest hotel experience I have ever had. To start with they forgot to pick us up from the airport or mixed up the time, despite messaging to confirm days before. They didn’t realise until we rang them and we ended up waiting at the airport for an hour for our ride. The room wasn’t clean- there was hair on the bed and it smelled damp. There was loud construction noise going on making it impossible to rest or relax. The hallway was loud with people at night. There was no eftpos machine so we had to pay with cash. It wasn’t clear who was staff and who was just living/loitering there. If it wasn’t just a short stop over on our way to another island I would have checked out. The restaurant was not restaurant and the owners were in there playing cards and ignored us. Way too expensive for what you got. Don’t stay here
Not much was likeable other than the Chinese owners kindly detouring our pickup from the airport so we could see the blowholes in action at the south of the island, before we headed to the hotel for our stay. The bed was comfortable and clean.
The reception has a replica machine gun under a Chinese flag to "welcome" you. There was debate about which room we used, as the others were taken up by Chinese relatives. We had to ask for bottled water, none in the room. The room had no TV and no fridge, the shower leaked, the toilet seat didn't fit the toilet basin, garden furniture is used as seating within the room. The promised breakfast in the dining room was one boiled egg and one piece of bread on a side-plate under cling wrap, and you were allowed one coffee each only... all while the Chinese clients had a hot breakfast feast at the next table! Location was away from the town centre, so taxis were necessary.
