Pros:

Der Besitzer, seine Frau und das Personal sind sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer hat alles was man braucht und die Dusche war sensationell. Das Frühstück war gut und reichlich.

Great place to relax
Pros:

The location is good, at the edge of a peaceful and friendly village means no noises at night.
Also not far from Fogo viewpoint (20min drive). Bus station 30sec walking, supermarket and restaurant 10sec as both are available directly in / at the house.
The owner is super friendly and is easily available via booking or WhatsApp.
The room is big, with a big comfy bed and enough plugs to charge your stuff.
There is a small balcony, and the bathroom has a good shower with hot water.
Everything is clean and the WiFi works great.
Secured parking is also available.
There is a nice terrace with a pool and great views.
I really liked my stay here and can totally recommend this place.

Terrific value with incredible hosts and great food!
Pros:

Maria and Tony are the most amazing hosts. They went above and beyond to make my time in Fogo easy and special and I am so grateful! Also, the food at their hotel is DELICIOUS, the internet worked quite well, and the town of Cova Figuera is a very friendly place. I had a great experience and absolutely recommend this hotel as an excellent value!

The breakfast was good but it will be better if they have more variety.

Cons:

The stuff members have not been proactive, like there were lots of flies around and not doing anything scared away the flies, just did after we asked.

Excellent new hotel and walking base in undiscovered area of Fogo.
Pros:

The staff especially the owner Toni were so helpful in arranging transfers and organising our stay. The room was very nice and the swimming pool was great. The evening we stayed there coincided with an amazing event celebrating Women of Cape Verde with a banquet, disco and excellent live musicians. Toni helped us plan our walking tour to Alcatraz and Faja which was excellent. The hotel's location is good if you are planning hikes in the area (which is cooler than most of the island) such as around Estancia Roque and along the coast. The paths are well marked. Finally Toni made sure we got back to Sao Filipe ok when the normal aluguers werent't running as it was a holiday. I wish them all the lu ck in the world in making the hotel a success.
