Excellent location, excellent parking facilities. Room very comfortable and restaurant food very nice.
Some noise from showers and toilet flushing in other rooms.
The George is simply the best all-round hotel we have stayed in…

Location
Food was exceptional
Room spacious and well equipped
Room got very hot and difficult to get temperature right
Cozy, really nice staff, good food, really nice stay.
staff were amazing and genuine to help, food was lovely and the hotel looked of a high standard.
one of my starters was dry, too many dogs sprawled out when i have walking issues
Just a lovely base for a hotel
Nothing all was great
Location
Breakfast was great, good selection to choose from, room was wonderful! Loved our daughter had her own 'quarters' around the side from us - little bit more privacy and less chance of disturbing her when she went to sleep. Room so cosy, quaint, comfortable and cost-effective :D
That we didn't stay for another night!
The ambience, friendliness of the staff and location.
The coffee machine wasn't working and leaked everywhere.
I liked the character, location and friendliness of all the staff
Nice welcome
Ambience
Well decorated in keeping with the building
We had a superior room but it was above the main bar and music pumped till 1115 both nights we stayed. We ended up getting up to go downstairs to ask them to turn it down and they said they couldn’t because it was on a loop that is our only complaint about the hotel don’t stay in a room above the bar if you want to sleep well.
Room was very well equipped and very comfortable. It was a good size and had 2 comfy chairs which was a bonus. We also liked having the expresso coffee machine. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on one of our nights and enjoyed drinks in the bar on both evenings.
There was lots of condensation and therefore wet patches on the window sills. The room would benefit from a dehumidifier. Everything else was great
Beautiful building
