The staff is excellent

Cons:

The air conditioner was not working. They fixed it on the third (and last) night of our stay.

We had a great stay at this hotel, would go back to stay any time when I'm in Istanbul also would strongly recommend it to others

Three days of suffering in this room, no air conditioning, stuffy room and no air, no hot water on the first day due to a malfunction, Tuesday there was no water in the taps, unsecured rooms, no privacy from my room I could see and hear what the roommates were doing and saying

La cama era cómoda, aunque un poco corta para personas altas (1,80m). El personal muy amable, no dominan demasiado el ingles pero hacen todo el esfuerzo por entenderse. Desayuno variado.

Cons:

Baño pequeño. El desayuno, si bien variado, quizá nos hubiera gustado algun producto de desayuno mas continental (ej. Huevos con bacon). Un poco de ruido pero en general Estambul es una ciudad muy ruidosa.

Lovely stay and great staff!!!
Pros:

The best compliment is that my son said he wanted to stay again at Grand Hilarium with our next visit to Istanbul. I enjoyed the hospitality, the kindness and the sincere attention that my son received during our stay. Reception staff and also the young lady (Ayse) at the breakfast were extremely nice. The breakfast by the way was perfect. We had to figure out the public transportation but all sites were easyly reachable. Also extra credits for the free drinkwater tap at our floor.

Cons:

If I have to mention something: our room could have been spacier.

Fine hotel if you are looking for something easy; would recommend although nothing remarkable
Pros:

- Enjoyed the breakfast
- Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and attended to our needs
- Housekeepers were great and always left our rooms spotless

Cons:

- We requested a hand to fix our shower and to have maintenance come up on a couple separate occasions however this was never fulfilled with in was a bit disappointing- might of been a language barrier which is understandable
- Facilities being closed with no other options (e.g. pool and spa) these effective our view on value for money
- Window of room (212) doesn’t close properly so it was extremely loud with the outside noise and got quite cold
- Only a heater function, no aircon

Pros:

Easy access to Metro & Taxis. Short walk (5 mins) to Bagcilar - Kabataş Tram which for a tourist, gets you to most places you want to go. Friendly helpful staff. Good water pressure in the shower. Very good internet speed. 10-15 min walk to KumKapı which has plenty of good cafes and restaurants. Many specialising in fish and well priced compared to more touristy parts of İstanbul.

Cons:

Whilst windows are double glazed to keep out noise which is great, the installation method has resulted in an air gap all the way around which means the outside noise is not suppressed. If you are a light sleeper consider ear plugs.
