The location and the view were fine.
En suite shower is misrepresentation. There was a damaged bath with a shower attachment for which we had to stand in the plughole to feel the weak waterflow which fluctuated in temperature during use. Bathroom door lock didn't engage. No level surfaces big enough to even put wash kits on. The general decor was damaged on every wall and doors. The bed mattress was very old and past it!! springs wnet "g-boing" whenever we moved on it, during sleeping, getting up etc. there was rarely a receptionist. When we arrived and asked about dinner, we were told they didn't do dinner!! But the tour coach party had dinner!!! When we attended for breakfast and sat a a table for two, we were interrogated about when we arrived and then were told we couldn't sit there because that was for the 'tour group'. The TV didn't work all week, and there was a notice saying they were expecting an engineer to investigate why there was no signal. Didn't change the whole week we were there. And we paid £140 per night for this. Daylight robbery. Receptionist said when we arrived it was one of the top rooms in the hotel, probably because it had a balcony and a sea view. I'd hate to see the others!
Great location
NA
location on sea front
Bed Mattress had single room springs felt and when sat on compressed to 2 inches needs replacing told management as i had to as for a duvet to put on top mattress to try sleep. Staff stated they had no other rooms very dated.
We chose this hotel for its location - adjacent to a venue for a family gathering and right on the beach front should the weather be right for sandcastles!
Like other reviews have said, the property is a little shabby with work needing doing, but the beds were clean and comfy, the bathroom was clean, the staff were friendly and the location could not have been more perfect. It also had private parking round the back which on a sunny bank holiday weekend was worth a room booking in itself!
The rooms were not particularly insulated noise wise from other guests.

shower could of been better
Excellent location right on the seafront
Expecting on suite bathroom on arrival, wasn't expecting a wash basin in bedroom and a shower and toilet hardly big enough to move around inside. I would also suggest screens on balcony between rooms for better privacy.
This hotel was chosen for the location, which was right on the beach and next to Shanklin Chine. We did love how close the old town was.
The guttering outside the window was broken, so when it rained heavily throughout the night, the water was bashing against the glass, keeping us up, and we weren't able to open the window for fresh air because of this. One member of staff was really rude to an OAP who was clearly distressed about phone service, and the employee just said to her, "I can't move the cliff for you." Which I found disrespectful, as all she asked was where she could get better service. The hotel was very run down and could do with a spruce up. Even though we enjoyed our stay, I don't think it was worth the £420 we had paid.
It’s right on the beach front, and it’s very cheap and ideal for a cheap get-away-from it all for a few days.
There was a low level humming noise of an extractor fan or something all night long which was a bit annoying.
Staff were amazing and the room was clean with a balcony facing the sea. Great view.
Would love to see Fresh Juices not concentrate! Thats just my thing.
