Location
Near the beach
shower could of been better
Excellent location right on the seafront
Expecting on suite bathroom on arrival, wasn't expecting a wash basin in bedroom and a shower and toilet hardly big enough to move around inside. I would also suggest screens on balcony between rooms for better privacy.
This hotel was chosen for the location, which was right on the beach and next to Shanklin Chine. We did love how close the old town was.
The guttering outside the window was broken, so when it rained heavily throughout the night, the water was bashing against the glass, keeping us up, and we weren't able to open the window for fresh air because of this. One member of staff was really rude to an OAP who was clearly distressed about phone service, and the employee just said to her, "I can't move the cliff for you." Which I found disrespectful, as all she asked was where she could get better service. The hotel was very run down and could do with a spruce up. Even though we enjoyed our stay, I don't think it was worth the £420 we had paid.
It’s right on the beach front, and it’s very cheap and ideal for a cheap get-away-from it all for a few days.
There was a low level humming noise of an extractor fan or something all night long which was a bit annoying.
Staff were amazing and the room was clean with a balcony facing the sea. Great view.
Would love to see Fresh Juices not concentrate! Thats just my thing.
Very close to the beach
View from our room was … nowhere. It was inside small yard, with no breeze at all
Location was great
Hotel decor upstairs was tired
The hotel is really shabby.
The rooms are very shabby and rundown.
Like? You mean what was there to like! We booked two nights at this hotel and we won't be back. We tried to have supper at their hotel restaurant and were turned away because we were not part of the coach tours they cater to. There were only the three of us and yet they would not allow us to use the restaurant because they had a coach tour booked. The restaurant was HUGE!!! They had tables ... but turned us away. By this time all the restaurants along the sea front were closed. I am in a wheelchair and not being familiar with the place, did not feel like wheeling myself into town or hiring an expensive taxi to drive me around to find a place, so that night we had tea and a couple of dry biscuits for supper. The restaurant REFUSED TO ADMIT US even after explaining our circumstances and REFUSED TO PROVIDE A MEAL for us to take to our rooms.
When we were getting ready for bed I turned down the bed duvet only to find a LARGE toe nail clipping on the bed sheet by my pillow. Two more toe nail clippings were on the floor by the bed. No use mentioning it to reception because NO ONE WAS THERE!!!
As mentioned, I did not like the toe nail clippings in the bed and on the floor. I did not like being refused entry to the restaurant because coach tour guests were considered premium customers and I did not like being told I could not even order a meal to take up to the rooms. The hotel is NOT WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE.
The chap on the desk was great, very helpful and accommodating. the location was very good on the seafront. Nice cafes & restaurants nearby.
The hotel has seen better days. Parking was very limited and the rear car park is untidy & unkept. The room was very basic with poor decor & facilities, not ideal for a romantic weekend away. But ok if other places are booked up. I probably wouldn’t go back.
