The hotel was the prefect location to explore Seamus Heaney country and the Home Place Museum

Find an alternative as this place could do better.
Pros:

I do not normally leave reviews for the service industry as I feel they can be somewhat unreliable as each individual has their own tastes and standards. However I felt compelled to do so, not because the hotel was wholly poor but I feel it needs to either charge less or improve its offer to guests. It was centrally located in a good stop off point during our trip and the breakfast was decent.

Cons:

This was the most expensive accommodation we stayed in during our trip to Ireland and as such did not represent good value for money given that we had experienced much better rooms, service and facilities at other hotels. The room was cold and the heating was not switched on at all during our one night stay. In addition the mattress was old and cheap making for a rather uncomfortable sleep.

Great value.
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent as was the room and location. The only negative was the shower as the water was warm not hot. Didn't spoil the stay and the stay was great value.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice rooms. Bar meals were good.

Parking at rear - motorbikes parked all along perimeter making it difficult to park. Restaurant closed very early.

Comodo come base in un piccolo paesino carino. Buona prima colazione. Parcheggio privato. Ristorante dove si mangia benino. Anche perché è l'unica possibilità in paese.

Everyone was very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and recently renovated using high quality materials.
The owner took a personal interest in making our stay exceptional.
Ive been in the hospitality for over 50 years and was so pleased and thankful for the way we were treated. We could not have asked for more. I highly recommend and look forward to staying here again.
