It’s in a good location, has good ev charge points, staff are really friendly and the food is spot on.
Bathroom is a little outdated and rooms could do with a little spruce up

Stayed in room 14 both windows would not lock shut.
Very nice place to stay in. Room was clean and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good. I liked the 11am checkout and the 4 hour notice i gave the lodge to book a room for the evening.
The room was reasonably comfortable & clean & we appreciated the clean bedding & towels. The food was good & prices reasonable.
The reception staff were not welcoming or friendly, or even helpful.
The carpets in the rooms & corridors were clean but very old & worn.
(The plug of the basin needs 1 that fits the hole!)
The same in the dining area, The Hungry Horse, & the chair seats & tables need a good clean. Looks scruffy.
Staff not very helpful but willing when asked. Maybe a a bit more training on the service side...

I had a pleasant stay for 5 nights. The staff were friendly and the rooms are what you pay for so good value for money. A shout out to Matt who was very accommodating from the moment I checked in.
Breakfast was good. Good usual choices on the continental menu. The food was well presented and plentiful. The cooked breakfast was very good .
Coffee was not hot enough.
