Simple room with perfect view of the lake.
Pros:

We chose the room with sea view and that was the perfect choice. Waking up seeing the sunrise, it doesn’t get any more beautiful than this on the lake. The room is simple, the host friendly and helpful.

die Lage direkt am see ist wunderschön, ca 10 minuten laufen bis man das kleine zentrum erreicht mit vielen restaurants und kleinen shops

könnte sauberer sein, viele kleine mücken und ameisen finden ihren weg ins badezimmer

Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay in Maruba Inn. The room was nice and spacious with very comfortable bed. The access to the lake was great, really nice view. The restaurant run by the owner was also fantastic - Ikan arsik was one of the best dishes we tried in Indonesia. We recommend staying here.

Amazing people, Amazing place.
Pros:

We ate most of the time in their restaurant because it was convenient. The menu wasn't extensive but the food was good. They also do excellent fruit juice. Hired a bike for two days to see more of the island which was cheap.

Cons:

To be honest, for the price you can't complain.
Stairs down to the appartment were uneven at the top section near to street, than more constant as you went down the side of the building but rather high for each step.

Pros:

Die Chefin und ihre Tochter sind sehr nett und überaus hilfsbereit. Auch das Restaurant ist sehr gut. Beim Frühstück kann man zwischen westlichem und indonesischem wählen. Der direkte Zugang zum See ist ein großer Pluspunkt. Das Hotel vermietet auch Motorroller und bucht Busse für die Weiterfahrt.

Best room ever, but even better Orga possible
Pros:

Good location, very nice room, nice view, spacious, Lis is very helpful

Cons:

If Lis is not there nobody speaks English.
I spent a whole week at this wonderful place and would have been delighted, if the staff would have emptied the bin, delivered new toilet paper, cleaned up the floor a little. They did but I had to ask.

Pros:

Wir haben ein paar schöne Tage in der Unterkunft gehabt. Sie ist perfekt in Tuk Tuk gelegen und wir konnten uns sofort und sehr unkompliziert einen Roller ausleihen. Das Zimmer hat einen tollen Ausblick auf den See, wenn man dieses auswählt. Die Gastgeber haben sehr großen Aufwand betrieben, um mir meine Visa Karte zurück zu holen, die ich im Automaten stecken lassen habe. Vielen dank nochmal dafür. Allgemein waren alle Beteiligten sehr zuvorkommend. Achtung, nachdem man sein Geld hat, muss man bei dem ATM zum Schluss den Vorgang nochmals beenden, um seine Karte zu bekommen! :)

Ruime kamer met fijn bed. Locatie is goed, veel restaurantjes in de buurt. Bij de accommodatie zit ook een restaurant waar je lekker kan ontbijten.

Cons:

Hygiëne kon beter. Wij hadden veel last van mieren en vooral de badkamer was niet erg schoon. Wifi werkt niet heel goed. De accommodatie is behoorlijk gehorig, vooral de hanen naast de kamer verstoren je nachtrust.

Budget friendly and comfortable stay by the lake with a superb restaurant!
Pros:

Great location and view of the lake from the room. Ferry from tiga raja Parapat dropped us off at Pandu resort adjacent to Maruba and from there it's a 3-5 mins walk. Clean, spacious room with a big balcony and comfortable mattress and 24 hrs hot water supply and a spacious bathroom as well. Ita and staff were very helpful in getting us motorbike rental for 2 days and also arranging a taxi to Berastagi on our last day. They even dropped us off on their motorbikes to the ferry departure point. And the best part is their awesome restaurant. You can get authentic Batak cuisine here. Urab was absolutely a gastronomic delight and so were the other dishes. They have very good vegetarian spread as well. Ita is a very seasoned chef and it reflects in the dishes. Ita and staff also got along with my kid very well and my kid liked them a lot:) Also, in a mins walk you can enjoy coffee/breakfast at Marcopolo local cafe. Wifi was also quite good. Overall, we had a very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Cons:

Would have been great if they would have asked for room cleaning to be done instead of us requesting them. Can communicate early if there is a specific cleaning time so that it can be planned. Rest, all was great.

One of the most beautiful places in all of Sumatra with a stunning view with affordable prices (appreciate it a lot) and friendly owner family. Own pier, very clean, comfy mattress, laundry service, free water, hot shower, privacy, free parking and best location. They have an attached restaurant where I ate the first night the most delicious "Ikan panggang bumbu" (fish with spices from lake toba). The family had a great attitude and were smiling everytime you enter the place and you felt welcome. Pro tip: don't leave your clothes or stuff outside at night because they are bats pooping on them, haha.

Cons:

It's like Paradise and I would have stayed longer if they would set boundaries towards other guests who are misbehaving (I understand it's not so easy). Please don't take it as a complaint instead as a tip because in the end it affects your own business. The second day I ate Fish Curry which was not hot and fresh. Otherwise 10/10 stay.

Geweldige tijd gehad
Pros:

De kamers zijn heel erg mooi, locatie aan het meer is prachtig, personeel was heel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam

Cons:

Tijdens ons verblijf werd er veel verbouwd in de omgeving wat soms wat herrie gaf, maar dit gebeurde alleen overdag.
