Outside of our bedroom there was no other heating in the hotel. No heating in the restaurant so we had to wear coats as the temperature outside was around zero. We had dinner next door in Justa Birding which was great.
It's up the hill from the town so may not suit everyone. Taxi from the hotel was rs.500
The hotel was beautifully placed a little out of town overlooking the mountains and the valley. The staff were so kind and attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean, and the decor was really lovely. Food was also fantastic.
Responsive hosts, gave us recommendations on what to do around Dharamshala. Had a great stay at Heryk Hillview.

The property management is not professional...hospitality is 1/10...while some staff is sincere the training required is not there...
The rooms have a balcony but are small...the cupboard smells no hangars...no iron stand... bathrooms don't have practicality...Not recommended for families...Lacks cleanliness across the property and even cutlery post room cleaning is not clean...
While we stayed there and checked out, the manager cancelled our booking..post payment.
This is one of the best hotels I've ever been to, by far! They really made me feel extremely welcome and went out of their way to make my time in Dharamshala even more magical! If you are looking for a place to stay, this is it!
The rooms are massive, the bathrooms are stunning, and the view from the balcony is just amazing!
The hotel also comes with a fully staffed kitchen, and they make the most delicious food and drinks!

A luxurious property with beautifully designed rooms. Terrace with spectacular views. Great service. Attentive staff and delicious food.
The property is very well made with beautiful wooden interiors and some great murals and scenic beauty all around it. They have attached balcony where you can sit while watching the majestic dhauladar range. I used to do yoga in the balcony with a breath taking view. The description exactly matches this property however photos cannot do justice to it.
