Good location, wifi is steady (I was working remotely) and it's super safe for a solo traveller.
Pros:

Very good location and nice, spacious room with balcony.
Staff are very attentive and helpful.
It's close (like 500 meters) from the Holy Trinity Cathedral, but it's not loud considering it is a touristy-area.

Cons:

You have to request housekeeping services.
The housekeepers don't come daily unless requested. (they do a good job though!)

Amazing stay
Pros:

Where to start :) The hotel, the room were just beautiful and perfect. One of the best stays we ever had. The view of Tbilisi from the balcony is just amazing. The staff were super friendly and helpful with the parking. The breakfast was really good and we really enjoyed our stay here.
If considering other hotels, don't, just book this :)

Wonderful Family Stay in Tbilisi!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Iris Hotel during our family trip to Georgia!
We were provided with two spacious, interconnected rooms, one being a double room and the other a beautiful suite featuring a separate living area and balcony. This arrangement was absolutely perfect for our family, offering plenty of space, comfort, and privacy.
The breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of delicious options to choose from. The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable.
Although the hotel is not located directly on the main road, it is conveniently situated very close to Old Tbilisi, making it a great location for exploring the city.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Iris Hotel. A comfortable, family-friendly hotel with excellent hospitality and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely deserving of 5 stars, and we would happily stay here again on our next visit to Tbilisi!

מה שגרם לנו לבחור במלון היה המחיר הנוח והתמונות היפות שפורסמו באתר Booking, שיצרו אצלנו ציפייה לחופשה נעימה ונוחה. לצערנו, כשהגענו למקום, המציאות הייתה שונה מאוד ממה שציפינו.

Cons:

שהינו במלון איריס בטביליסי במשך חמישה ימים, זוג עם שני ילדים, ולצערנו החוויה שלנו הייתה מאכזבת מאוד, במיוחד בכל הקשור למיקום, לניקיון ולמתקנים של המלון.

כבר ביום הראשון, כשהגענו למלון, פשוט חשכו עינינו. הדרך אליו עוברת בסמטאות חשוכות, עם הרבה עליות וירידות, והמיקום עצמו לא נוח בכלל. יש תחושה לא נעימה להסתובב באזור בשעות הערב והלילה, ואנחנו הרגשנו שלא נעים ואפילו די מפחיד להסתובב שם, גם כזוג וגם לבד. בלילה כמעט שאין שום דבר בסביבה, ולכן מי שמחפש אזור נעים, מואר ותוסס עם מקומות בילוי, בתי קפה וחנויות במרחק הליכה – זה ממש לא המקום המתאים.

גם מבחינת הנגישות, המלון בעייתי מאוד. כדי להגיע ממנו לאזור המרכזי יותר צריך לרדת כ-40 מדרגות, וההתניידות באזור העיר העתיקה אינה נוחה בכלל. אם אתם מגיעים עם ילדים קטנים ועגלה, קחו בחשבון שההליכה עם עגלה באזור המלון ובסמטאות העיר העתיקה קשה מאוד ולא נוחה.

בעיה נוספת וחמורה מבחינתנו הייתה הריח החריף והמסריח שעולה מהביוב בחדר השירותים. זה היה מאוד לא נעים ופגע משמעותית בתחושת הנוחות שלנו בחדר.

לגבי הבריכה – אמנם יש בריכה במלון, אבל היא אינה מחוממת, ולכן במהלך השהות שלנו לא יכולנו ליהנות ממנה כלל. מבחינתנו, כשבוחרים מלון גם בזכות הבריכה, מדובר באכזבה גדולה.

גם שמירת החפצים אינה כפי שאפשר לצפות ממלון. אין חדר ייעודי לשמירת מזוודות, והחפצים פשוט מונחים בפינה מול הקבלה. זה לא הרגיש לנו כמו פתרון מסודר וראוי לשמירת חפצים.

בנוסף, חשוב לדעת שאם לא מדליקים את המתג שמסמן בקשה לניקיון החדר, החדר לא מנוקה. לטעמנו, לאורחים צריך להיות ברור מראש כיצד מבקשים ניקיון, ולא לגלות בדיעבד שהחדר לא נוקה משום שלא הופעל המתג.

לסיכום: אנחנו אישית לא היינו בוחרים במלון הזה שוב, ובוודאי שלא ממליצים עליו למשפחות עם ילדים שמחפשות חופשה נוחה, נעימה ורגועה. אל תסתמכו רק על התמונות ועל העובדה שהמלון נמצא בעיר העתיקה. חשוב לבדוק היטב את מיקום המלון, את הדרך אליו ואת התנאים בפועל.

זו כמובן החוויה האישית שלנו, אבל אילו היינו יודעים מראש את כל הדברים האלה, היינו בוחרים מלון אחר. חבל שכך התחילה ונראתה החופשה שלנו מבחינת הלינה.
