Breakfast could have been warmer .. there was an issue with lights.. and when i asked at reception they just said there was nothing he could do about it ..

Beautiful bedrooms and very friendly and helpful staff.
The bedrooms were a bit too hot and unfortunately we were unable to make it any cooler, though fans did help a little. It probably would have been fine if the weather had been colder.
Despite being a pub in the village centre, with a sports bar, which scared us on arrival, the hotel was brilliant. So clean, smart, great facilities, comfortable room with lots of goodies, bath robes, plenty of toiletries, biscuits, selection of teas etc. Staff were brilliant, really friendly and helpful. Hard to find fault.
Wine list wasn;t brilliant but otherwise hard to find anything to criticise
Modern room, comfortable bed, seating and a desk area. Bathroom also clean, modern and plenty room. Breakfast choices excellent and restaurant staff friendly.
Only criticism is there was no shelf in bathroom to put anything.

The star hotel is perfect for a trip to the highlands as a base for mountain climbing and site seeing.
The staff are very attentive, helpful and all round great people .the rooms are kept spotless and well fitted out , very comfortable beds , housekeeping is second to none . And reception staff are fantastic.
The only down side is the rooms to the front of the building face onto kingussies high street so if you need to sleep with the window open you will be disturbed by the crossing beeping and cars accelerating off after the red light for the crossing , the wolf bar downstairs is great but as it is the only worth while bar in the area it gets very busy and can be noisy at weekends so if your room is over that it may also be a disturbance,so if sleeps important as it is to us just ask for one of the rooms at the back when booking . But apart from that it’s great

Only issue was very loud on Friday night due to bar open very late 1 am people on street outside bar also didn’t sleep
Our 3 night stay at Star Hotel Kingussie was excellent. The hotel throughout was absolutely beautiful. All staff were amazing & made us feel really welcome. The food was spot on & bar/waiting staff were so lovely, friendly & so welcoming of us. We also met so many nice & friendly people whilst socialising in the Wolfe Sports bar. This was our first visit to Kingussie, what a beautiful place to see, we will return in the future for sure.
