Wonderful warm stage
Pros:

Lovely small hotel, lovely and bijou.
Restaurant was wonderful - to much on the menu we wanted to try

Cons:

Unfortunately we stayed on one of the hottest days ever in the UK, made it an unpleasant nights sleep with just a fan in the room

We enjoyed staying at Bank House very much. The only down was the breakfast, it was really disappointing that there was not a freshly cooked breakfast, which we have had before and were looking forward to. A fresh fruit salad would also have been nice, rather than chunks of fruit.

Pros:

Very friendly staff. Very nice breakfast offered each morning and the main meals in the evening were excellent. Seafood used in all the dishes we had was very fresh and tasty. The location in the historic area of the city next to the water made a perfect setting to enjoy a sundowner and watch the fishing boats returning from their day out to sea. Also very quiet at night for a restfull sleep.

Pros:

Nice staff, atmosphere, food, and lovely location. Nice spacious room and bathroom. Very clean and comfortable.

Cons:

In the room some refurb work was needed. Stained drawers top, probably due to boiling water spill, and the shower enclosure looked a bit shabby in places. The easy chair seat was a bit sunk.

Alright in end.
Pros:

Friendly staff. Good food alfresco due to warm weather. Nice position by the river

Cons:

The room we were given on the hottest day of the year was too hot. Even the heating was on and windows would hardly open. Fortunately we were put into a cooler room but still needed a fan. After paying a high price for carpark outside we were told of a cheaper LT one down the road which we used the next day.
If another room had not been found we would have had to stay in another hotel.

Cons:

Think a fridge in the rooms would be a good idea. We stayed on a warm night and would have been nice to have cold water. Not a complaint just a suggestion 👍
