The motion sensor lights in the hallway could be more sensitive.
The room was comfortable and clean, security on the property was good, and breakfast was complimentary during my stay. Check-in was smooth.
The Wi-Fi was unreliable throughout the stay, including a full outage of more than 24 hours. There was no in-room router, and the gym was very basic for a hotel at this price point.
Staff were very accommodating and quick to fulfill any requests. Hotel and rooms were extremely clean and comfortable- will definitely be back!

The Roots Hotel in Abidjan was the perfect choice for our stay in Abidjan. The rooms were clean, spacious and very cozy. The room service did a great job in keeping everything nice and clean and it was very responsive and quick about any requests for additional kitchen items or the like. For breakfast, the hotel offers a delicious buffet with a vast choice of varying dishes. The most positive and appealing aspect was the friendly and helpful staff as well as the owner of the place: they are very forthcoming with ideas for any kinds of errands (if you don't know the city). The owner even drove us to a local market with her car for last-minute grocery shopping on our last day in Abidjan, as it was on her way anyway, and offered us to prepare a room just for us to being able to take a shower before our flight back home. In short: I can absolutely recommend the Roots Hotel!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Everything was as expected and a smooth experience.
The doors can be made sound proof. I could hear all the movements in the corridor.
