Pros:

The place is beautiful, the friendliness of the staff makes everything easy. The restaurant is absolutely the best. Everything was exceptional. When we complained about the room we was allocated to another room with no hassle, the front desk team was quick to respond on our problem.

Cons:

The pillows needs some intervention. They also need to check on furniture once in a while, the first room we got the chair was making squeaky noise when sitting, the bad was making same noise, sagging when sitting on it.

A suitable place along Durban Beach-King Edward Hotel
Pros:

The breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice and a friendly approachable restaurant staff; very clean room. The bed was comfotable though the pillows not suitable for the Adults. The location is in the promixity of town, walking distance to the main supermarkets and restaurants. The hotel does provide lunch and dinner, so if one needs to explore outside restaurants, just take a walk outside the hotel. Wow, an afternoon capuccino and carrot cake was lekker. There is People Mover bus station at very affordable fee around the Hotel for exploring the playground city of Durban. Further Intercape bus office also within reach for those who use public transport for travel to Durban.

Cons:

The room looked more a single than a double one. The pillows are just too soft for adults; they are suitable for the children. I would advise that a cleaning brush be put in the bathroom for hygienic purpose, not to rely only on house keeping service. I was on the top floor....room ...5, there was a disturbing rattling sound from a next door whenever a door is opened, it makes a disturbing noise. Please look into that; it caused my stay and sleep to be unpleasant.

Short and disappointing
Pros:

Staff was friendly enough, except the parking staff

Cons:

The place is covered in cockroaches. My kids were so scared we had to leave early, no refund was offered, nothing, no follow up call. We had to drive through the night because the kids were too scared to sleep as a cockroach crawled over my child when she fell asleep.
