Good price, clean cost and welcoming staff.
Pros:

It was a beautiful old building with lots of history, set off from main road down a big driveway. The location was good for our plans. I requested a quiet room, which was accommodated. Clean cosy, en-suite single room. Very good value. Best thing about the stay was how friendly and helpful the staff were. Felt very welcomed, and looked after.

Cons:

Nothing I didn’t like. It was not central, but buses and taxis were easy and cheap to get to accommodation.

Pros:

The price. Hotels in Newcastle on the night of my stay were extremely pricey, due to a big champions league match, but this hotel was very reasonable

Cons:

Its a good bit outside the city.
Our room was clean, however the outside of the premises was very dirty, and gave a very bad 1st impression

Cheapish, good location for bus services, a soulless hotel needing investment
Pros:

Room was clean, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, kettle and tea bags & coffee provided. No sign of any cookies! Very close to bus stops and only 10 mins by bus into city centre. Staff were friendly enough. £40 a night for a single room was OK value overall, just needed something cheapish and close to city centre. 2 nights in the small room and in this sort of hotel was enough, if I needed to stay longer in newcastle I'd have paid out more for somewhere more comfortable and premium.

Cons:

Hotel has a soulless depressed vibe, it feels a bit worn out and lifeless. Just a few posters or paintings up here and there would help brighten up the place.

No bin provided in my room for some reason. TV in my room didn't work, nor did the tv work in the lounge area. Quite thin walls, could hear the tv on next door in the early hours of the morning which wasn't ideal.

Hotel has potential, just needs brightening up and a bit of TLC from the owners of the place.
