Pros:

Stopped here overnight whilst walking Hadrian’s Wall. Located above a friendly little pub and there are a few other places to eat and drink nearby. Exactly what I needed.

Local shop opens at 6am if you need breakfast food or drink (none included in your stay)

Cons:

Could not access room until 4pm
Thick bedding during heatwave
Bathroom fittings falling apart
Do not stay here on a weekend night if you want to get to sleep before 3am (or if you don't mind wearing the earplugs provided!)

I like to use independent businesses but definitely Premier Inn next time

Comfortable bed & soft towels

Cons:

Loud music after midnight
Bedside lamp didn’t have a fuse in it
Chair in bedroom too heavy to move
Intermittent internet
TV had to have internet so couldn’t watch it
Child’s bike dangerously left at top of stairs
Child’s scooter behind door to stairs so another trip hazard
Staff shouting at their children before 9am

Pros:

My stay at The Black Bull was short but pleasant. It is a short bus ride from the Hadrian's Wall Trail to Wylam. There is a nice pub downstairs, and the village itself was very pleasant, too, with various places to eat (including an excellent pizzeria) and a small shop around the corner for any essentials. Breakfast was not served at the accommodation.

Cons:

There was some noise from pub-goers on the street, but it vanished as soon as the window was closed.

Pros:

Etablissement "typique" : quelques chambres simples et pratiques au dessus du pub. La barmaid / gérante était très gentille et accueillante. Très bonne pizzeria à proximité.
Pas de problème de bruit (le pub ferme tôt).

Cons:

Chambre un peu simple.
