Me gustó la localización , el lugar era muy coqueto ،pero la descripción de la habitación no fue clara pensé que cogí una cabaña y no era solo una habitación un poco agobiante

Velmi ochotni majitelé. Skvělé za výbornou cenu.
Pros:

Příjemné stinné místo s hamakami v zahradě. Majitelé neustále zametali písek z teras. Vždy byl některý k dispozici, velmi ochotní pomoci a vyhovět. Připravovali skvělé a velké snídaně.

Cons:

Ocenili bychom klimatizací.

Great time in Bamboo Bay
Pros:

Anas provided us with an amazing stay. We had such a nice time here in Arugam Bay. The rooms are small but efficient and since you’re spending all time out on the beach or trying the delicious cuisine, it’s actually just all about a comfy bed with a mosquito net. For that we were very grateful because there are quite many in Arugam Bay. Anas, the owner was always there and helpful and always kind and smiling. Bamboo Bay has a very nice garden/ chillout area with hammocks and Anas is taking care of his garden very well so it’s beautiful there.
Thank you Anas!! We will be back

Nice and cosy stay
Pros:

Nice and comfortable small house. We booked for 2 days and stayed 2 weeks. We really felt at home here. Lovely shady garden to chill in when it is hot outside. Nice and affordable breakfast available too. Really helpful and kind staff who can help you with all your activities in aragum bay. Would 100% recommend.

Cons:

Nothing. We were sad to leave.

Pros:

The location is great, only a few minutes to the beach and lots of restaurants and bars. It was a great price and the shared outdoor area is pretty and a nice place to relax. The staff were friendly and did our laundry for a cheap price.

Cons:

The room was very small with nowhere to keep our bags. It was too hot with only the fan but I guess that’s Sri Lankan weather. Overall it’s a fine place if you want something cheap and simple.

Comfy beds in a secure location with a great host!
Pros:

I had to move from another place due to mosquito so I booked this extremely last minute - I rocked up half an hour later after booking and Anas was already getting the room set up with a mosquito net. The room was spotless with a comfy massive bed and a nice shower. Anas was always in reception ready to help with any questions or help - was super affordable rooms with a great location, you get the better food IMO at the north of town!

Good central location, but still relatively quiet
Pros:

Good location! Close to the main street and beach but a bit more quiet as it's in a side street. Owners/staff are very friendly and create a relaxed atmosphere. Helped me organize a surf lesson within a few minutes and showed me good restaurants.

And thanks for the Arrak!

Cons:

The budget room really does not have a lot of space to move around. For me that was ok. Otherwise just book the cabana.

Pros:

The staff was so helpful and kind, felt almost like a small home at the end
They helped us with everything from surfboards to tuktuk etc.

Also the cabana was really comfy and clean und they do everything too keep it as said

The loccation is also perfect... it's a 3min walk to the beach and really just a 30m walk to the crowded mainroad with all the Cafés and restaurants, but not that loud compared to an stay directly on the road

All in all it was an awesome place to spend our time in arugam bay.

Pros:

Newly built accommodation close to the main street and the beach but still hidden from the business of Arugam Bay. The owners are very nice and can arrange your surfing lessons for you including pick up from Bamboo Bay.

Cons:

One improvement would be the inclusion of airconditioning and perhaps the bathroom that floods after a shower but these are minor inconveniences.

Google Maps has some issues finding the location so perhaps set the destination to Pono Cafe and follow the adjacent dirt road.

Pros:

The best breakfast during our Sri Lankan trip - delicious smoothie bowls. You can stay here just for them and it's already good value for your money.
The rooms were clean, there was a mattress bed on the porch of every little house and also a hammock where you could lay down and swing.
The staff was very nice too. They hook us up on a safari ride to the nearby National Park Kumana.

Pros:

The location and facilities are perfect! A few minutes walking from the beach and next to the road where all the bars and restaurants are, but far enough to not be bothered by the noise.
There are some hammocks to chill outside and they also offer laundry service. Staff was super friendly and helped us with everything!
