Marsden Stay Rotorua

The shower was either really hot or cold with poor pressure. It was difficult to set the temperature. There were urine stains around the base of the toilet. The coffee provided was very poor. There was a lack of power points. I had an adjoining room as we travelled as a family but there was nowhere to put my suitcase-no luggage rack or table. The room could've easily had a table under the TV. I had to put it on the floor.

Did not look anything like the website. As for the pool. What a joke. Blue tarp and rocks.
No mattress protection on the bed.
Manager no show in the morning. Just terrible.

Some of the finishing in the bathroom wernt super good how ever this didn't effect my stay more just an industry I work in seeing attention to detail.

Unfortunately smelt like someone has recently smoked in the hallway or their room and the smell stayed for a while

You arrive at a place that looks like a hostel layout.
Stunning rooms inside just feels like your arriving at a very old hostel or hospital.

Wifi starts off ok & then drops out. No cutlery in the room. We don’t have a room with a kitchenette but still eat in the room so having utensils would be helpful. The doors in the hallways are very loud & bang when people walk through. Carparks, was a very busy weekend & parking was limited.

The service was average.
The shower was terrible, no pressure and scolding hot water.
The add said parking on site but had to park my car on a back lot away from view of the room. We were worried something might happen to it.
Advertised amenities that they didn’t have available.

Requested a ground floor room & were allocated an upstairs room. Wifi was very weak. Lack of pillows. Shower is small.

Very minimal things wrong here, but the 3 things we didn’t like was that the parking was very difficult at times, you are assigned carparks when you check in but it seems it is just a free for all when reception is closed. Our rooms TV was a bit broken, the bottom half of the screen was very dark, but the receptionist offered to let us switch rooms immediately. The only other fault was that the hall way and bedroom doors shut really loudly so when people are coming in and out (late at night) it can be very loud. These faults are very minimal, this place is great and is really close to everything you need/would want to visit.

The room was very dirty had mold in the bathrooms and also mouse poo in the bed
