Superb boutique hotel in a fabulous east end location.
Pros:

Gorgeous historic building with a thoughtful and elegant renovation. The front bar/restaurant area was welcoming and stylish. The room was fabulous in every way and the staff were all friendly and extremely helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. Our new favourite city retreat.

Would definitely visit again.
Pros:

Amazing room, great decor. The gym and Albert lounge were also excellent. Helpful and attentive staff. Overall a wonderful stay.

Cons:

Taxis had difficulty finding parking during busy periods due to main street out front. There is a side street that is less well known.

Comfortable stay with beautiful city view
Pros:

-close to tram and train stations, with a reasonable walking distance to the city center for people with average fitness.
-A side entrance is available via a quiet alley, useful during the day if you prefer not to pass through the restaurant.
-The bed was very comfortable, the room clean, and the view from the 11th floor showcased the city skyline beautifully.

Cons:

-I was aware of this design when booking, but others may want to take note-the bathroom has no door, and the frosted glass panels provide little privacy. The layout feels awkward especially for guests who might prefer some separation
-The full-length mirror near the entrance suffers from poor lighting, and the vanity mirror positioned at the corner is quite impractical in my opinion.
-Shower gel was not properly restocked when checking in but quickly resolved when feedback was given

Pros:

Convenient location, new and modern
Friendly staff. Easy check in with prompt delivery of bags before we got to the room
My room (King) was slightly longer than a colleague who had booked the same room type, with an extra couch along the window in my room (they did not have this)
Useful to have a proper microwave and some basic cutlery in the king room (two knives, forks, plates), fridge is a small bar fridge but appropriately cold
Dyson hair dryer

Cons:

No assistance by staff at the Evelyn Place or Albert Street entrances (no one monitoring directly) so just be prepared to assist yourself through pull/push doors
Can hear doors slamming / voices from the corridor easily, so not the greatest insulation, but otherwise insulation between rooms appeared adequate. Can easily hear sirens from the street
Bed is quite firm so not ideal for people used to softer bedding
Room was at lowest temp 19C on the thermostat and could not cool any lower
Microwave is a nice feature in the base room, but kitchenette items could be more comprehensive given there is an entire tall pull out pantry adjacent to the microwave (more cutlery, basic provisions, larger fridge)

Easy relaxed but up market modern hotel
Pros:

Ease of booking and check in love the peaceful part of the city gardens walk everywhere beautiful modern functional rooms well set out interconnecting rooms for those needing love the gym and pool ! Foyer coffee bar a lovely area to meet friendly staff will return definitely

Great location, best of both worlds
Pros:

Location, cleanliness, staff service, treats available in room, nice and quiet, pillows excellent, room service good

Cons:

Just the room had half an uncovered window due to the external placement of a barrier. I'm claustrophobic and felt a little trapped by v having a clear view out. Bed hard.
