As a lone traveller I didnt feel safe.the capsule was stuffy and hot the noises from people in the same room scared me
Great location, cheap and cheerful, not crowded (only 12 bed dorm in total), good facilities.
Top bunk get really warm, even with fan on max, could barely sleep. Bottom bunk is much more pleasant.
Basically as advertised.
My pod did not lock. This made me feel pretty uneasy overnight.

Decent value, podlike bed. Reasonable shower and kitchen facilities. Always like that massage chair and the close proximity to Brick Lane.
There's been some changes since I last stayed, the most noticeable being the disposable bedding. It's presented as being for the benefit of guests, but I can only assume it was a cost issue as I can't see many people liking it. It wasn't as bad as I feared, but it wasn't nice either. There's also a shower screen added - I also didn't like this as I found the previous set up better, and it dried quickly with the nice warm floor, though I imagine some would prefer it. Didn't really see the point of the thing on the kitchen taps where you can change the Ph of the water but it wasn't doing any harm. I would still stay again, I just would have the thought of the bedding in my head as my stay approached...
The hotel was clean, aesthetically quite nice and the theming though limited was a nice touch. The design of the capsules was pleasing and really gave a nice "spaceship" feel to the place. I think there should be more capsule hotels as it provides an opportunity for better value than traditional hotel rooms without the loss of privacy and personal space involved in a hostel. There was also a well stocked convenience store nearby as well as many options for takeout and restaurant food. The massage chair was impressive. I'm likely to stay at this or another capsule hotel again.
The location was not conducive to access by public transport, especially whilst carrying heavy bags. The route from the nearest underground stations is very difficult to locate without google maps and phone reception was frequently poor during the walk. Both me and the friend I who I was meeting at the hotel found it difficult to locate. The common areas had air conditioning, but the thermostat was set at 25 degrees in the middle of july, meaning it was only running when the temperature outside exceeded this and the controls had been taped over to prevent guests changing the set temperature. It was tolerable outside of the capsules, but uncomfortably warm inside of them. The ventilation system for the capsules was also flawed, with the fans at the top drawing in warm air from near the ceiling instead of exhausting the hot air from the top of the capsule so cool air could enter from below - it appeared the fans may have been installed backwards. The mattress was of good quality but just a little too firm and I found myself waking up feeling sore all over. Perhaps this is something that takes getting used to but I felt that a slightly softer mattress would have made all the difference. I was also unable to connect to the wifi on my primary device with the network not showing up, and another guest reported the same issue, staff were not able to resolve this. A dedicated area for unpacking and packing belongings would be welcome as would more than a single shower for 12 guests. I would have liked a somewhat better experience for the price.
Very comfortable stay, the check in and check out very simple and had everything you needed for a cozy stay. The light system is cool and can change your settings of the fan and reading lights etc. To charge up things you need either usb or c-to-c charging cables and not a plug. Space to do work or eat and doesn't feel like there's other people around you when you're in the pod (except some of the usual people noise expected in a hostel). One of my top places to stay in London.
This is my second time staying here and this time the capsule didn't quite meet the same standard as before but still a fun place to stay. The locker I had was held together with duck tape (I didn't bother with this since I didn't need to use it this time). Also, the capsule didn't lock like its supposed to - The mechanism was jammed. Since I stayed there before I didn't mind as I felt safe and secure enough and wedged paper to at least keep the door shut. Reported it to the staff to hope they fix it for the next guest. They did offer additional luggage space if I needed but I didn't have much stuff so declined. Still would stay again though as it's a cool spot. Just hope they fix the issues beforehand.
