Some problems with breakfast as ran out of coffee and had to ask. Might have been better not to have left carpet laying half done

Beautiful hotel but very high prices unless you have some inner urge to splurge for no reason

It was a beautiful hotel, amazing food and courteous staff

Cons:

The rates were just tooooo high for pondicherry considering its not like among the top visited places like rajasthan goa or kerala..i mean except for the hotel din find anything else there ofcourse the auroville was great and their concept of shared living was unique and good but apart from that i started thinking why did i pay around 2lakhs just for two nights??

Delightful Oasis in an interesting City
Pros:

Wonderful reception when arriving at the hotel, we were presented with a drink and a shell necklace which was actually very nice. Wi fi very good. Breakfast choice good. Staff amazing. Rooms clean, housekeeping excellent. Large practical bathroom with a great shower.
Best hotel hairdryer we have come across in India. Very well located for shops, one of the biggest department stores is just a few yards away. The rooms facing away from the mosque and street are very quiet. The terrace restaurant is lovely and the food good, Anamika who served us twice was delightful.

Cons:

The hotel is in a busy area with no outside gardens so leisure is all internal. Anyone booking a room facing the Mosque should be informed beforehand. Rooms facing the mosque should be at a reduced rate due to the sleep disturbance.

Exceptional warmth and hospitality
Pros:

I had a fantastic experience staying 2 nights with my family at this hotel. There are lots to like about this hotel:
Location is amazing; very close to the promenade beach
Facilities in the hotel are top notch - nice neat and clean rooms, usage of tech, ambience - all were fantastic
Check in and Check out were a breeze no problem.
However, what sets this hotel apart is the EXCEPTIONAL STAFF:
During the happy hours, the hotel staff would engage with you via various board games. That was not a tick in the box exercise. They were genuinely engaged and creating such a joyful environment for our family and other guests
Every time you left the hotel or came back, you were greeted with the same warm smiles by the staff. The hotel is small, intimate and very personable
Lastly, when I was checking out early morning, I realized I had a flat tire. Rather than sending me to the nearest flat tire fixing shop, the front office staff (I forgot to note the name of the staff) changed the tires themselves. I did not even have to request them; they did this on their own. I firmly believe that when hotel staff finds joy in delighting customers, the overall experience can rarely go wrong. Residency Puducherry, thank you for the exceptional warmth and hospitality. This was my first stay at your property and I am convinced it won't be my last. I'd highly recommend this property to anyone looking for stay options in Puducherry

My watch was stolen from my room….house keeping was very bad and the staffs aren’t trained well and back ground check isn’t done properly…this is the first such incident has happen in a star hotel I had reported and it’s more than 24 hours still no action taken .

Clean, but way overpriced for what you get.
Pros:

Good location, clean rooms, nice rooftop bar.

Cons:

Overpriced hotel, slow or non-existent service (need to go directly to the reception as whatever we ordered via phone or tablet simply didn't come, only one person at breakfast time able to take orders, all other simply ignoring guests).
