Nothing other than the location
There was no central heating. The room was cold there was 1 cloth for 2 people and that was dirty. The room walls are paper thin and unfortunately there were a couple staying in the next room to us arguin untill 3am shouting banging swearing with no one around to tell them to quite down. There is no room key you take a picture of a code for the door that seems like it never changes which is not very safe. I had a stay here a few years ago and it was nothing like how it was now extremely disappointing
Nothing. Wasn’t even open and still haven’t been refunded my money 2 weeks later
Door was glued shut. Nobody there. Didn’t even end up getting in absolute shambles
Staff were nice and the bar staff
The rooms weren't very nice or comfortable
The whole place was dirty smelly and disgusting! There was nothing I liked!
The first room had a leak in the bathroom…the second room had no towels and was very dirty and smelly.
Nothing it was very unclean
No towels, dirty room, very loud
Size of the room
The blinds were broken
It had a sea view.
It had a heater.
It had beds.
It had a tv.
The sea view was blocked by broken roller blinds that didn't open.
The blinds had big tears in them.
The blinds didnt have pull cords anymore.
The balcony door didnt open.
The room had seen better days.
The carpet was loose.
The skirting boards were bulging with damp.
The light fittings were hanging off the ceiling.
The walls were dirty.
There was no staff.
The key to the room was a touch pad code, which no-one showed us how to use. If you enter the code wrong it locks you out.
There was vomit outside the hotel on entry.
Nothing absolutely disgusting
Everything filthy druggys staying there
The closeness to the main Blackpool attractions
Scruffy hotel, smell of drugs (possibly the staff smoking it, as it was still evident in the reception area the following morning), single stained dirty towel in the room, not enough towels, no loo roll, no working TV control, pillows were pointless, they were really flat with no comfort, only one cup for tea or coffee, poor security procedures for room code. General dirty feel, loose carpets on the stairs, noisy guests during the night.
big
the door would not lock we felt unsafe and there was no heating no spoons to make tea and very unclean no towels
The bar looked decent but we didn’t actually use it.
Not as described, certainly far from luxury. The bed was falling apart, radiators not fixed to the walls properly, bathroom smelt damp, rips to the blind, half used toiletries no towels and no working Tv. Definitely wasn’t worth the £80 paid. Also having to pay £14 for parking which isn’t stated at the time of booking is somewhat excessive, especially considering it’s just a parking bay at the back of the hotel and isn’t a secure car park.
Review of Residency Luxury Hotel (Check-in via Sapphire Hotel)
I think they might have misspelled “hostel” because this is definitely not a luxury hotel.
We received an email with instructions to check in through their sister property, the Sapphire Hotel no problem there. But when we walked in, the music was blaring at 2 p.m. even though there were only a couple of people scattered around the bar. It made no sense and wasn’t a great first impression.
At reception, we were given our room numbers and told to take a photo of a card with our door code on it. The cards looked very worn, which suggests that the codes are rarely changed a bit concerning, since past guests could still have access if they’d taken pictures too.
There were two bookings in my party. A staff member showed us to my friend’s room on the ground floor, then simply told me my room was on the first floor and left me to find it myself not a huge deal, but not great service either.
While the rooms have been decorated to look aesthetic, the overall finish isn’t good. It feels like a building site where the last step the deep clean still hasn’t happened. The fridge is right next to the bed and makes constant noise. No towels were provided (perhaps my oversight for not asking, but I’ve never had to ask in any other hotel). And maybe I’m being picky, but if you’re going to call yourself luxury, the hangers should at least match.
That said, with a proper clean and a thorough snag list, this place could have potential to be a decent hotel in the future.
Amazing spa bath
The hot tub.
The cleanliness, the noise through the night, being rudely awaken at really early hours by heavy foot steps from the floor above and the fact I couldn’t get decent quality food at this hotel. It did not quite feel like I was on holiday.
