Great location, but very poor accomodation & service
Pros:

The best thing about the property is the location. It’s barely 1.2kms from the VIT main gate. One can literally walk down. But that’s where pretty much everything good ends.

This is a very basic hotel and does not match the images shown on Booking.com or other platforms. The rooms allocated to us were significantly different from what was advertised.

The room layout was odd, with an exposed kitchen slab and sink inside the room. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and caused severe back pain during my two-night stay.

In room #205, the ceiling fan functioned only at full speed; the regulator did not work. When this was reported, the reception dismissed the issue by stating that it was an air-conditioned room—an unreasonable response, as guests should still be able to use the fan if provided.

Room service was equally disappointing. Ordering a simple black coffee turned into a frustrating experience, as the staff seemed unable to understand the request and eventually suggested that I make my own coffee in the room. Even when I ordered a regular coffee, what was delivered was unrecognizable as coffee.

The complimentary breakfast was poorly managed. We arrived around 9:00 a.m. and found almost nothing available. The only option left was a plain dosa—no eggs and no alternative items. It was clear that the kitchen was ill-equipped to handle even basic service. Breakfast should not be offered if minimum standards cannot be met.

Overall, the stay was uncomfortable and fell far short of expectations. Most concerning was the significant gap between the hotel’s online presentation and the actual experience.
