Initially it was very clean when we walked in. The staff was very responsive when the door code didn't work. The room was a pretty color.
We left for dinner and came back and there was a weird smell. Maybe bleach from an adjacent room? It was very strong. The room itself was the actual smallest hotel room I've ever been in. The pictures make it look two or three times the size. That being said, it was overpriced. The outside door code was a pain.
Value.
Limited TV. Small room, no extravagant chair or table. Shower was clean but limited force. There was no on premise staff. If you needed or had a problem, you needed to call. However they promptly fixed it.
Comfy beds, nicely appointed room. Although unstaffed, the texted directions for checkin and checkout were clear and easy to use.
My room did not have any windows. It sorta felt like a closet. The AC unit had a bright light that interrupted my sleep. Bring a face mask!
No
No vale lo que te cobran. Cama con colchón hundido. Horrible.
The room was clean and the heating and cooling system worked very well, which helped keep the stay reasonably comfortable. Temperature control was consistent and easy to adjust, which was a strong point during my visit.
There were several drawbacks, including bathroom trim that was falling off and a shower design that felt unfinished with no enclosed tile or bathtub, just a floor-level drain. The bed creaked and took up most of the room, leaving very limited space, and there was only one chair with no proper table or dining area. Parking near the hotel was also limited, and the window view looked out onto a slanted roof rather than any scenery.
Very cool vibe! Modern hotel with a bed and breakfast vibe.
More cozy than a usual hotel. Very nice and clean! Felt the city vibes!!
Nothing comes to mind
Very good location, good communication with Hotel. Easy in and out. Very clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. The only issue was that it was hard to find since there is construction going on in front of the Hotel. Not anybody’s fault, would have been nice to have a heads up. Other than that loved the hotel and the downtown!
breakfast? The coffee bar was nice. We ate at the Brunch place nearby and it was excellent. The room was great. We loved it and will come back. Already looking at dates - with a Junior at SIUE, we visit 3-4 times a year. See you in May. The check in system and the texts were the best.
Getting in and out of the beds or any movement is noisy. That is really the only possible complaint. We felt like we were excessively noisy, but this is minor.
There was a coffee maker in the hallway with every type of sweetener and several types of creamer. The bed was super comfy and had 6 pillows. 3 softer and 3 firmer. The AC was extremely efficient. The room was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in.
The location was superb for what I was traveling for. The room was quiet and didn't hear any other guests
WiFi went out but not that big of a deal
Nice clean room
Walls were very thin, could hear your neighbors, well at least in the ink room. Slightly to expensive than what it was worth.
Cute, private, and very clean
The bed was in parts. You couldn't roll over without the head board hitting you or making noise. The bed was also very flimsy and made you feel uneasy to sit on. I expected more considering I paid $250 for a single night.
