A budget-friendly hotel with nice common areas
Pros:

Breakfast was decent, and I think it’s particularly good value for families, as children eat for free. Nothing extraordinary, but perfectly acceptable for a budget hotel.
The bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was not.
On the positive side, the entrance, reception area and breakfast area look really nice. Everything feels modern and welcoming at first glance.

Cons:

We chose to stay at Premier Inn because we had previously stayed at one in London and had a really good experience. Unfortunately, I have to agree with some of the reviews I read online about the staff not being particularly friendly. I wouldn’t say they were rude, but there was a noticeable lack of effort to help guests or make them feel welcome. There was no warmth, and whenever we approached them with a question or request, it felt as though we were bothering them.

In our bathroom, there was paint missing from part of the wall, and the bedroom had an unpleasant smell. We had to open the windows every time we came back to the room. The ventilation system wasn’t working either. We reported this to reception, and someone came to look at it the following day, but the issue was never fixed. We also received no explanation or follow-up from the staff. Since we were only staying for two nights, we decided not to keep chasing it.

I wouldn’t say the rooms were dirty, but there were visible stains on the carpets, both in the hallways and in the bedroom.

As for the location, we found it a little inconvenient. We needed the car for pretty much everything we wanted to do, and we didn’t notice any particularly nice restaurants or places to go within walking distance. Having to drive everywhere became a bit tiring.

Zeitgemässe Einrichtung

Cons:

Das Parksystem ist eine Katastrophe! Die Ausfahrttickets sind unbrauchbar! In 7 von 8 Fällen musste ich wieder zur Reception hoch um ein neues Ticket machen zu lassen. Dass man für so etwas auch noch bezahlen muss, stösst sauer auf.
