An interesting stay
Pros:

The building is in the hart of Budapest. You have a lot of restaurants and bars.
We booked and payed in advance for the private parking in the garange. They don’t have a lot of parking spaces so prebook in advance.
The check-in is at 15:00 and you will receive an email with the details of the building and the code to enter the apartment.
We booked a one bedroom apartment and we received an apartment with 4 beds( 3 rooms) and we were only 2 adults.
We had a bigger apartment then our friends who were 8 in total.

Cons:

The apartment is super spacious but really needs a renovation.
The frame of the beds are of metal and very uncomfortable.
The bathrooms are old and rusty. And the cleaning is not proper.
The feeling was that I realy want to go home.
But for the price that we payed for 2 night in the center of Budapest was ok.
If they renovate it will be an amazing apartment.

I stayed at this apartment for several days and cannot recommend it highly enough. The location alone is worth five stars — situated right between lively Király Street and the iconic Andrássy Avenue, it offers the best of Budapest at your doorstep. From world-class museums and theaters to trendy ruin pubs and artisan bakeries, everything is just a short walk away. Despite being in such a vibrant neighborhood, the apartment was quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep.

Inside, the apartment exceeded my expectations. It was beautifully furnished, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The layout was practical, with plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring. The kitchen had all the appliances and utensils I needed, the bathroom was modern and spotless, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly — a lifesaver on warm days. The small balcony was one of my favorite features; enjoying a morning coffee or an evening drink there made the stay even more enjoyable.

The host truly made the experience special. Communication was flawless — always polite, helpful, and quick to reply. They provided detailed instructions, useful tips about the area, and were willing to assist with anything I needed throughout my stay. Their hospitality made me feel welcome and well taken care of.

All in all, this apartment is a rare find: stylish, comfortable, perfectly located, and hosted by someone who genuinely cares about their guests. I would definitely book it again and encourage anyone traveling to Budapest to choose this place.

Pros:

We had an amazing stay at this cool apartment right in the center of Budapest! The location is spot on — everything you need is just around the corner, from trendy cafés and bars to public transport, so getting around the city was super easy.

Dopo aver prenotato su Booking, attirati da foto che mostravano un appartamento accogliente e curato, ci siamo trovati di fronte a una realtà speculare e inquietante. Sporcizia ovunque: Non si trattava di semplice trascuratezza, ma di un ambiente totalmente insalubre. Abbiamo trovato capelli nei letti, polvere stratificata e residui di sporcizia in ogni angolo della casa. La situazione era tale da spingerci ad andarcene immediatamente. Non era solo una questione di estetica, ma di paura per la nostra salute, soprattutto viaggiando con la famiglia. Siamo stati costretti a "scappare" da quella struttura, abbandonando il posto in fretta e furia per cercare una sistemazione dignitosa altrove. È inaccettabile che piattaforme così note permettano la pubblicazione di annunci così ingannevoli, mettendo a rischio il benessere dei viaggiatori.

Dear Booking.com Customer Support Team,

I am writing to file an official complaint regarding our recent stay in Budapest and the unacceptable actions of the host of the accommodation we booked through your platform.

We reserved and fully paid for an Improved Double Room at City Star, 4-star accommodation. We traveled to Budapest from Croatia with a child, a dog, and several suitcases. Upon arrival, the outdoor temperature was –5°C, and we were unable to access the apartment for over three hours. We were standing outside in the cold with no assistance from the host.

When we finally managed to contact the host, he informed us that he had unilaterally changed our accommodation without our consent. Instead of the booked City Star 4-star property, we were placed in a different hotel called Gozsdu, 3 stars, which has a completely different name and lower category. We were shocked by this situation. Photos are attached for reference.

The room we were given was in extremely poor and unhygienic condition:

- The toilet contained feces
- Cobwebs on the walls
- The entrance door lock was broken
- The kitchen sponge was covered with mold
- The bathroom was dusty and dirty
- The bed sheets had yellow stains

Additionally, the room we booked was advertised with a balcony, but the provided room had no balcony at all and did not match the description or photos on Booking.com.

We immediately contacted the host, explaining that he had no right to change a 4-star accommodation to a 3-star one and that the conditions were unacceptable. His only response was a short “Sorry,” with no attempt to resolve the situation.

We did not want to stay there, but it was already night, we were exhausted, freezing, traveling with a child, did not know the language, and had no realistic alternative. For these reasons, we were forced to stay.

During our stay, the host stopped responding to our messages entirely. Screenshots of our correspondence are attached.

Адреса і назва готелю не співпадала із даними на сайті букінг. Ми шукали готель 2 години. Поруч був караоке бар і заснути до 2 години ночі було не можливо. В номері було дуже брудно.
