Tl;dr I would avoid as staff made us walk to another hotel at midnight because of an electrical fault with the kettle before we checked in, without telling us this before we arrived. No compensation given.
We informed staff we would be arriving on a train around midnight, they indicated that was fine.
We arrive around 12:30AM. The staff member said “we were waiting for you”. Then proceeds to inform us that our room is no longer available due to an electrical failure with a kettle and that they have booked another hotel for us elsewhere in the city.
The staff were messaging me throughout the day and did not bring this to our attention until we arrived at 12:30AM.
A staff member then walked and directed us to the new hotel in the dark past midnight, which was some 400 metres away. We had various heavy bags and suitcases but the staff member did not assist us at all, until about 100 metres away they offered to carry a smaller bag.
When arriving at the new hotel, we were told by the Ametist Hotel staff told us we must move back to the Ametist tomorrow. This arrangement was not
compatible with our travel plans. When I suggested this, the Ametist hotel staff and the new hotel staff had a long discussion with lots of sighing and eventually agreed to let us have our entire stay at the new hotel.

Unfortunately, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had, despite travelling frequently both privately and for work.
Our room was located directly above the restaurant area, and the noise was extremely disturbing. Loud music continued until around 11:30 PM, making it impossible to relax or sleep. After the music finally stopped, staff began moving tables and chairs around, creating additional noise that continued until after midnight.
We contacted reception several times and asked for help, but unfortunately nothing was done. I also spoke to the hotel manager (Jasul) and was told that they were having a party for Russian guests and that this was simply the situation and something I would have to accept. I found this response very disappointing and disrespectful towards other paying guests.
What bothered me even more was the way the situation was communicated. We were repeatedly told that the party would finish soon, but the noise simply continued. If the hotel knew in advance that there would be a loud event directly below the guest rooms, this should have been communicated during check-in. Alternatively, we could have been offered a quieter room away from the restaurant. Neither happened.
We had originally booked three nights, but because it was impossible to get proper rest and because of the way our complaints were handled, we decided to leave after only one night.
Another point worth mentioning is that at around 6:00 AM, the kitchen ventilation system starts operating. The ventilation equipment is located close to the rooms and can also be clearly heard. So after finally getting some quiet after midnight, the noise starts again early in the morning.
At check-out, I asked Jesul for the contact details of the General Manager because I wanted to report my experience directly. I was told that the General Manager had no email address and could not be contacted by phone either.
Просторный уютный номер, в котором продуманы детали для комфортного отдыха , отличная система хранения вещей, предусмотрена зона отдыха перед TV , удобно оборудован чайный уголок , ежедневно пополняли запас питьевой воды , чай , кофе . Санузел оборудован всем необходимым, все исправно работает. Ежедневная тщательная уборка номера . Приятный свежий интерьер отеля. Внимательные сотрудники встретили нас радушно и предоставили номер нам на час раньше положенного времени для заселения . Гостям предлагают воспользоваться услугами СПА комплекса с 9:00 до 18:00 бесплатно . Отель расположен в 25 минутах хоть бы от туристических объектов , на гастрономической улице , где расположены разнообразные кафе и рестораны . Отель предлагает традиционный европейский завтрак с элементами национальной кухни, свежая молочная продукция, вкусные фрукты. Общее впечатление : чисто , уютно, милый дворик, просторный номер, заботливый персонал , возможность получить расслабление в СПА . Рекомендую , спасибо всем , сделал наш отдых в Самарканде незабываемым !

Alles war sehr sehr gut. Wir haben unsere zwei Tage in samarkand sehr genossen. Das hotel ist sehr sauber alles auf höchstem Niveau. Danke
Очень хорошее расположение, рядом много магазинов, кафе и ресторанов. Уютный район. Сам отель очень чистый, персонал вежливый. Уборка была каждый день без всякий напоминаний, при том что в номерах и коридоре светлые-практически белые ковры, но они чистые. Белые носки-оставались белыми 😁-это редко. Если что-то из гигиенических средств заканчивалось сразу ставили новые-без всяких просьб. Завтраки хорошие, большой выбор овощей, фруктов. Но не много бы разнообразили в плане каш, яиц и выпечки-тк это было одно и тоже изо дня в день.
Бассейн и спа тоже все отлично, не успеешь зайти сразу все вкл, тут же полотенца. Просто супер, рекомендую
Такого нет.
Просто как 2 совета/просьбы:
- разнообразить завтрак
- сделать бесплатно бассейн не час, а хотя бы часа 2.
Час это очень мало, а бронировать как-то дороговато (600тыс сумм или 23 тыс тенге)
The Ametist Hotel is located in the new part of Samarkand, but is still walkable to the Registan. It exceeded my expectations with clean, comfortable and spacious rooms. The hotel is quiet, staff is friendly and the breakfast is good.
Very limited parking availability for cars.
