I stayed here for two nights at the end of my three weeks in Sri Lanka as I needed somewhere to relax that was also close to the airport and it ended up being my favorite place I stayed at in Sri Lanka. Thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and appointed with attention to little details like a nice tufted cushion on the frame above the stairway so you don't hit your head show how much Ashane and his wife care about their place. Like the rest of the hotel, my room was also spotless and tastefully furnished. The bathroom was also great as it was nice having a shower that wasn't dumping water into the rest of the bathroom. The waterfall shower was also fantastic. There was a kitchenette area with a drinking water dispenser. Breakfast was excellent, and was different each morning I had it. For other meals, they've partnered with some local restaurants that they know are good, so you can just choose what you want from their menu and they'll have it ordered and delivered to your room pretty quickly, which I took advantage of a couple of times. Ashane and his wife were such genuinely warm and friendly people and really wanted to ensure my stay was enjoyable. Wish I could have stayed a little longer!

Absolutely beautiful stay, the attention to detail in the decor is amazing and the rooms and bathrooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable . The host Ashane is very welcoming and kind, had lots of tips and recommendations. Could not have asked for more! Could not recommend highly enough!

Beautifully designed room, staff go above and beyond to make sure you have a comfortable stay. They even wrote us a card and gave us some small gifts when we left, despite only staying for one night.

Wow - what a lovely place. We felt at home from the very moment we arrived. Ashane is such a warm, welcoming, and open-hearted host; after only a short time, it already felt as if we had known him for years.
The rooms are beautiful, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. Little touches - like the refreshing mango ice cream upon arrival or the fragrant oil candle filling the room with a calming scent - made our stay feel truly special and easily one of our favorite experiences in Sri Lanka.
We were genuinely sad that we could stay for only one night before heading to the airport, which was conveniently just a 15-20 minute tuk-tuk ride away. We would have loved to stay longer and would definitely come back again.

Het is moeilijk in drie zinnen te omvatten hoe aangenaam het hier is geweest. Van het ontvangst met een koude handdoek en een mango ijsje, tot de vriendelijke behulpzame host en het heerlijke ontbijt. Wat een prachtig complex. Still Waters is nergens te kort geschoten. Een echte 10 tot in de puntjes!

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka! Ashane could not have done more for us. The building is stunning and our room was very spacious with everything you need. Everywhere was super clean. The breakfast was really affordable and delicious! Thank you so much Ashane and team :)

Außergewöhnliche Unterkunft mit toll designten Einzelheiten. Die Gastgeber sind unwahrscheinlich nett und hilfsbereit und tun alles um einen zu helfen und geben Tipps. Würde jederzeit wieder dort buchen nach Ankunft oder vor Abflug.

I highly recommend this boutique hotel-style house for anyone wishing to rest before or after a long journey to Sri Lanka. Few rooms, quiet place, with hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay more pleasant, excellent local recommendations included. Very short and cheap tuk-tuk rides to and from town, where plenty of restaurants await. Breakfast is very good, and lunch and dinner can be ordered from a nearby local restaurant, which is also excellent.

Ashane is a very welcoming host and genuinely wants to help regarding local information and arranging transport or food. Still waters has been beautifully designed and is located in a quiet part of Negombo. The place is spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfortable. Highly recommend 👌

Nice room & facilities, friendly staff & good food

Super für Anfang oder Ende der Reise, weil die Unterkunft in der Nähe vom Flughafen ist. Der Gastgeber Ashane war so lieb und nett, wirklich die freundlichste Person auf unserer Reise. Er hat uns viel geholfen und war sehr verständnisvoll, als wir in Sri Lanka gestrandet sind (wegen dem Krieg im Iran). Das Frühstück ist zudem mega lecker, viel und abwechslungsreich. Wir können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen und nochmals danke, Ashane!

Still waters is definitely a must visit. The place is super peaceful, pretty and the staff is extremely kind, warm and welcoming. This was our first stop in Sri Lanka, and it couldn’t be any better. Also, the breakfast was delicious. Would 100% recommend. Thanks for everything Ashane, we wish you the best!

Highly recommend to stay at still waters artistry. Great location for exploring Negombo, we stayed for 1 night at the end of our trip as only 20 minutes from the airport. The owner is very kind and is on hand to help with anything you need, he gave us some great recommendations of where to go and what to do whilst in Negombo. Room was brilliant, air con, good amenities. You are able to have breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. We opted for breakfast the next day, traditional Sri Lankan breakfast which was delicious! Best hoppers we had throughout the whole trip!

Excellent stay at still waters! This was our first night in Sri Lanka and Ashane went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We were greeted with welcome refreshments and given a free room upgrade. The interior of the house was beautiful and it was very easy to go on a lagoon tour just steps away from the property. This was no doubt one of our best stays in Sri Lanka and we felt very lucky to meet Ashane and experience the still waters hospitality
