Pros:

Staff: Staff were very friendly and easy to talk to.

Room: The room was massive. A lot of space. The bed was comfortable. We had a view of Otaru and the port from our room.

Location: There was a shortcut accessible from the hotel to the Canals which was great for sightseeing.

Food: They were able to swap our breakfast for dinner when we advised we couldn't have breakfast but had to book it because they only prepare per guest request.

Cons:

Location: Location was quite a bit out of the way from the train station. About a 10min walk from a bus stop and 15min for train. Quite a hike to get there especially during winter, a lot of up and downhills which was hard when it was snowing or the road was icy.

Hotel: The place has an unusual design. Old ryokan entrance with a more modern walkway into the rooms. Shared slippers on entry was a negative, due to hygiene issues. I've seen staff just rearrange it without disinfecting it after use and another guess will put it on.

Bathroom: The room looked a bit unfinished. Some panels were loose. The bathroom had unfinished paint jobs and there were tools left lying around. The blinds in the bathroom were twisted around which was very inconvenient as even when it was closed we were worried we were visible outside when using the shower as the window was right next to the shower, and the window overlooks the parking and entrance of the hotel. The toilet was separate from the bathroom which was great but toilet did not have soap provided so still had to go to the bathroom to wash hands.

Living area. A writing desk was in the room but no chair for it, plenty of couches though. Strong smell of gas due to the gas heater. It was great for keeping us warm but the fumes made us very light-headed.

Food: Food was provided but it was a bare minimum offering. They served 5-7 pieces of steamed/boiled vegetables on the buffet table and [had it paired with some clear or curry soup], which very quickly ran out and had to be constantly replenished. The variety was very limited. Not very close to any convenience store or restaurants and extremely hard to access especially when its snowing.

Pros:

部屋は　とても広かった。
大浴場は無人で　朝も入って堪能できた。
浴場は全体　清潔感があった。

Cons:

畳にシミがあった。
カーナビでは　通行止めの道を案内され、表示の電話では　繫がらず　坂と、一通が多いので冬の小樽では　到達困難。
朝食時　開始45分後で、かなりブッフェの品無し。
メインはほぼ　完食され、パン　葉物くらいで、コーヒーもカップに一杯のこっていたくらい。まあ、ヘルシーで、身体に良いと、考えることにいたしました。

Pros:

방 크기가 컸어요, 화장실과 욕실이 분리되어있고, 침실과 거실이 분리되어있어서 좋았어요.
다만 위치가 언덕 위에 있어서 아이동반 또는 연세 임ㅅ으신 분들은 불편할듯도 합니다.
대욕장은 5층에 위치해 있어서 탕에 앉아서 오타루 바닷가 전망 보는게 좋았어요. 물도 매끈매끈 좋았는데, 탕이 1개라 아쉽긴했어요.

最大級のリラックス
Pros:

朝食がリッチで美味でした。カルパッチョやクリーム煮等、質が高く雰囲気も良かった。部屋は1人なのにリビングと寝室が分かれていて、広い窓のついた足の伸ばせるお風呂で、別に街を一望できる大浴場もありました。

Cons:

旅館の場所がやや分かりにくかったです。

Pros:

Schickes Hotel mit interessanten Mix aus alt und neu: die Zimmer und der Onsen befinden sich im Neubau, der Empfang und Frühstücksraum hingegen in einem schönen, sehr alten Gebäude.

Cons:

Kaum Parkplätze
Frühstück sehr spät: erst am 8h00. Wenn man dort nächtigt, weil man in der Region (Kokusai oder Kiroro) skifahren möchte, dann ist das einfach zu spät!

We were sad to leave and wanted to extend our stay.
Pros:

Our room was extremely spacious. We enjoyed the fireplace next to the big window to see the snow fall.

Not enough American breakfast options. Bottleneck at the front desk due to the shoe removal requirement.
